Please tell me some stories full of Buddhism and Zen.

Hello, LZ

Personally, I think these are all good.

Especially the first one I like very much ~ ~:)

First, put it down.

Two Buddhists were walking on a muddy road. When I walked to a shoal, I saw a beautiful girl hesitating there. Because she is wearing a ribbon, she can't cross the shoal.

"Come on, little girl, I'll carry you." Brother said, putting the girl on his back.

After crossing the shoal, he put the little girl down and then moved on with his brother.

The younger brother followed his brother, unhappy all the way, but silent. In the evening, after staying in the temple, he couldn't help it. He said to his brother, "We monks should observe the precepts and don't get close to women. Why did you carry that woman across the river today? "

"ah! You're talking about that woman! I put her down a long time ago. Do you still care about her? "

Second, what else should I put down?

In the Tang Dynasty, the venerable Yan Yang asked the Zen master Zhao Zhou, "What would happen if one thing didn't come?"

On the way to meditation, I abandoned everything. What should we do next?

Jackson Zhao Zhou replied, "Put it down."

The venerable Yan Yang said: My hands are empty. What do you want me to put down?

Jackson Zhao Zhou instructed him: "If you can't put it down, pick it up!"

Master Yang Yan suddenly realized something when he heard this.

Third, wash the dishes

In the Tang Dynasty, Buddhist monks traveled thousands of miles to Kannonji (now Berlin Zen Temple) in Zhaozhou, Hebei Province. After breakfast, he came to Zhao Zhou Zen Master and asked him, "Zen Master, I just started my life in a temple. Would you please teach me what Zen is? "

Zhao Zhou asked, "Did you eat porridge?"

The monk replied, "I ate porridge."

Zhao Zhou said, "Then wash the dishes!"

In the words of Zen master Zhao Zhou, the monk realized something.

Washing Dishes by Zhao Zhou teaches meditators to understand the mystery of Zen with their heart, which is inseparable from daily life. These daily eating and drinking did not deviate from the spirit of Zen.

Fourth, everything is here.

A monk sat quietly for many days and remained silent. Master saw the mystery and led him out of the temple with a smile. Outside the temple, the spring is beautiful. Looking around, fresh air, semi-green grass buds, oblique birds, emotional rivers between heaven and earth. ...

Yixiu took a deep breath and glanced at the master sitting peacefully on the hillside.

After a rest, I want to know what medicine is sold in the gourd.

After an afternoon, Master got up, made a gesture and returned to the temple with a show without saying a word.

Just entering the temple gate, Master suddenly stepped forward, gently closed two wooden doors and shut the others out of the temple.

I didn't understand master's will, so I sat outside the door alone and thought about master's meaning.

Soon it was dark, and the fog enveloped the surrounding hills, and the Woods, streams and even birds were no longer clear.

At this time, Master's clear voice called the name of Yixiu in the temple.

A broken door opened the temple gate and went in.

Master asked, "What's it like outside?"

"It's all black."

"Is there anything else?"

"There is nothing left."

"No," said the master, "outside, the breeze, the green fields, the flowers, the streams … everything is there."

After a break, I suddenly realized Master's painstaking efforts.

Five, grinding bricks like mirrors

When Dao was twelve years old, he went to Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue, where he became a Buddhist monk.

One day, Huai told Zen master to sit there and meditate all day. The Zen master took the opportunity to teach him, "What are you doing here all day?"

Yi Dao said, "I want to become a Buddha."

Huai asked the Zen master to pick up a brick and grind it on a nearby stone.

As soon as Tao heard the movement, he asked, "Master, what are you doing grinding bricks?"

Zen master Huai rang: "I grind bricks to make mirrors."

Road 1: "How can grinding bricks make mirrors?"

Master Huai rang said, "Grinding bricks can't be a mirror. How can meditation become a Buddha?"

Yi Dao: "How can I become a Buddha?"

Zen master Huai rang: "It's like someone driving a car. If the car doesn't leave, will you take a taxi? " Still playing with cows! "

There was a silence and no one answered.

Zen master Huai rang added, "Do you learn to meditate or learn to sit on the Buddha? If you learn to meditate, meditation is not about sitting and lying down. If you learn to sit on the Buddha, the Buddha does not have a certain shape. You shouldn't choose things that can be changed. Learn to sit on the Buddha and kill it. If you insist on sitting in the Buddha, you will run counter to it. "

Yi Dao felt very comfortable after listening to the teachings of Zen master Huai Rang.

Sixth, life is salty.

1925 In the early autumn, Master Hongyi was stranded in Qita Temple in Ningbo due to the war.

One day, his old friend Xia Mianzun visited. When he saw Master Hongyi eating, there was only one pickle.

Xia Mianzun couldn't bear to ask, "Is this pickle too salty?"

"The salty taste is very salty." Master Hongyi replied.

After dinner, Master Hongyi poured a cup of boiled water to drink.

Xia Mianzun asked again, "Is there no tea? How to drink this boiled water? "

Master Hongyi said with a smile: "Although the boiled water is light, it also has a light taste."

Seven or eight winds can't blow

When Su Dongpo worked in Guazhou, Jiangbei, he was close friends with the abbot of Jinshan Temple in Jiangbei, and they often talked about Zen.

One day, Dongpo lay man consciously practiced, that is, he wrote a poem: Looking at the sky on the first day, there are thousands of rays of light, and the eight winds can't blow, sitting on the purple lotus.

After the poem was written, he sent an extremely bookish across the river and gave it to Jackson Fo Yin as a reward. After reading it, the Zen master picked up a pen and approved two words, that is, to ask the extremely young man to take it back.

Su Dongpo thought that Master Xiang must have expressed great appreciation for his Zen environment. He quickly opened it and saw two words written on it: Fart.

This time, Dongpo lay man was really surprised and angry, and immediately crossed the river by boat to find Fo Yin Theory.

When the boat arrived at Jinshan Temple, the Zen master was already waiting by the river. When Su Dongpo saw Fo Yin, he immediately said angrily, "Fo Yin, we are close friends. Even if you don't agree with my practice and my poems, you can't swear! "

The Zen master smiled and said, "Hey, didn't you say that the eight winds can't be blown?"? How can you pass by Jiang Lai without saying a word? "

Su Dongpo was suddenly enlightened and ashamed.

Eight, the main ideas of Buddhism

Bai Juyi asked Zen master Bird's Nest: "What is the general idea of Buddhism?"

The Bird's Nest Zen Master replied: "All evil will do something, and all good will do something."

Bai Juyi snorted and said, "Well, all three-year-olds know."

The Bird's Nest Zen Master said, "Although a three-year-old child can speak, an 80-year-old man may not be able to."

Bai Juyi was convinced and bowed to his knees.

Nine, it is better to ask for help than to ask for help.

Fo Yin Zen Master and Su Dongpo went to Lingyin Temple together and came to the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Fo Yin Jackson crossed his arms and worshipped.

Suddenly, Su Dongpo asked a question, "Everyone reads Guanyin Bodhisattva. Why does he have a rosary on his hand like us? Who does Guanyin miss? "

Fo Yin Zen Master: "Read Guanyin Bodhisattva."

Su Dongpo: "Why do you also read Guanyin Bodhisattva?"

Zen master Fo Yin: "He knows better than us. It is better to ask for help than to ask for help. "

Tenth, empty your cup first.

One day, a professor who teaches Zen in a university came to ask Nanyin Zen master what Zen is.

Nanyin Zen master treats each other with tea. He poured water into the guest's cup. The glass was full, but Yin Nan didn't seem to notice it. He continued to fill the glass with water. Watching the tea spill over the cup, it was all over the table The professor was busy wiping the water with a paper towel and said to Master Yin Nan, "The cup is full and the tea is overflowing. Don't fall down again. "

Nanyin Zen master stopped.

"You are like this cup," he said with a smile. "Your mind is full of your views and ideas about Zen, but you come to ask me. If you want me to talk about Zen, you have to empty the cup first. "
