The opposite is true. Interview with Le Cuixing

"If you are lucky enough to have been to Paris when you were young, then no matter where you go in the future, it will accompany you all your life. Paris is a flowing feast. " Hemingway?

For me, "Paris" in this sentence should be changed to "Beijing". At that time, I stayed in Beijing for two years after finishing my master's degree, and I didn't know how to aftertaste until I left. Preference for Beijing makes Guangzhou nothing more than someone else's "Lingnan people", enjoying its cigar smoke, but always staying out of it. For Le Cui, the word "Paris" in this sentence should be changed to "Guangzhou", and Yangcheng is his hometown.

Le Cui is a photographer I know. He knows that I love the freedom of painting more, and I prefer to remember interesting images with my brain than with my camera, so he asked me doubtfully why I set foot in the photography circle as a non-amateur. I asked him why he put down his brush and only took a snapshot. There are no answers to these two questions-the next best thing is to find the same kind. I like the feeling of mix, which is why I run my trunk with Le Cui Ayuan. The three of us are completely different in geography, gender, age and professional background. Although our hobbies overlap, they are more different. At that time, we named the trunk and told Ayuan its meaning-there is room for improvement without completion, and defects are more plastic than perfection.

Le Cui is from Guangdong. Among my friends from all corners of the country, Cantonese and Hong Kong people love their hometown most, and they are generally proud of economic prosperity, but the deep-rooted Lingnan culture should not be underestimated. In the era of online fast food, it is not easy to judge a person's roots from his voice and appearance, but he can feel why he is anxious about things and what he wants. Everyone is eager to package himself and want to sell it, and culture is falling apart step by step from north to south. Ancient cities are fermenting in red foam, and the broken arms are covered with dusty antiques, screaming for gold. Guangzhou's local culture is just like its elegant name "Flower City"-it will always be invincible, but the simplicity of Beijing was eroded inch by inch between the glittering glass buildings at the moment when the city walls were demolished.

I have discussed the aesthetic differences between North and South with Le Cui, and naturally there are differences. I said that the North School is elegant and the South School is gorgeous and greasy. Le Cui said frankly that the dignity and broadness of the North School are far less exquisite and beautiful than that of the South School. He took me to see a rich azalea with his camera on his back. To my disappointment, the flowers didn't bloom. I stood under the branches of this old tree and looked up at the crown of the infinite cycle. When it's not blooming, it's as clean as a sketch. Later, I met a pool of fireworks burning in the sun. I guess it's Le Dujuan, and the extremely gaudy roses are also very shocking. This is Guangzhou-it's so beautiful. Le Du Fu and kapok in spring are the colors of Guangzhou, just as red leaves and ginkgo in autumn are the colors of Beijing. The north does not have the lively and uplifting temperament of the south, and one side of the soil and water raises one side of the vegetation.

The charm difference between north and south cultures is two words-"ambiguous" and "handsome". Hutongs in the north are square, a glass on the wine table is crystal clear, flirting is also tearing people's hearts, rock and roll is only delicious with the sand sound of the North School, and the opera is also a pioneer in Beijing. Things with a sense of bursting complement each other in windy areas like Xi 'an, Beijing, just like the solemn royal family only needs to catch people's eyes without adding a touch of softness. The south is hazy in the fog and gentle as a bowl of porridge. Don't say anything at the end, and I don't want to force it. Ambiguity is a kind of mood. Le Cui and I are looking for seats in the cafe. He led me up the stairs, and at the same time turned around and explained, "There is a cat sleeping in the open space on the second floor. I don't want to disturb it." ? At that moment, I found that Le Cui was very gentle, but if he used his own adjective, it was "sensibility". ?

"I was twenty-one years old that day. In the golden age of my life, I had many extravagant hopes. I want to love, I want to eat, and I want to become a half-bright and half-dark cloud in the sky in an instant. Later, I learned that life is a process of being hammered slowly. People grow old day by day, hoping to fade away day by day, and finally become like a hammered cow. But I didn't foresee this when I celebrated my 2 1 birthday. I think I will go on forever, and nothing can hammer me. " -Wang Xiaobo's "Golden Age"

China, born in an ideal period after 1980s, grew up in a period when China changed from ideal to pragmatism step by step, and was called an independent and self-awakening generation by sociologists. Therefore, there is a charm of mix after 80, which is an amphibian that evolved from 70 to 90. A naive adult-a quiet rebel, who is not in a hurry to grow up and doesn't want to be treated as a child, seems to stay at 29.5 years old, only half a step away from his thirties.

Le Cui and I are both post-80s, so we can naturally talk about most topics. The actual age of post-80s people is between "standing in their thirties" and "not confused in their forties". I'm not sure whether our generation likes to look back because they grew up in an era of change. Or because of my age, have I started looking around? Maybe both played a role. There were not many choices before, but it was easy to satisfy. In the new era, there are too many choices, but it is difficult to satisfy. People who have probably experienced a candy and can be sweet in their hearts especially want to find that magical candy. Often self-righteous maverick is just a brand left by culture and times. Going upstream is still in the trend after all, but the friction conflict with the trend gives you a feeling similar to pain. In the final analysis, it is still a small fish in the rivers and lakes. Jumping out of a case is called refusal and suicide.

Le Cui led me through the streets of Haizhu Old Town. While chasing the green mail car, he explained his framing. He said that when taking pictures, he would be as alert to the distant scenery as driving. Walking into an old house, I can't stop feeling the beauty of Nanyang architecture. I noticed that the beautifully carved lintel on the roof had weathered and corroded. Le Cui said that this is the inevitable fate of the old house, and the pragmatic government is too lazy to repair it. He can only take pictures of this beautiful old thing with his lens. This corroded and destroyed building, as if time had been re-carved by another artist, also has a decadent aesthetic feeling. Le Cui said that he likes to add a little banter to photos, but he is not satisfied without irony, but he is good at photographing the lightness of life and appreciating that someone can photograph the heaviness of life. I agree with his feelings about life, but the importance of life requires feelings about life. It may take 10 thousand steps or a veil to feel this feeling. It is a feeling of entertaining yourself as much as possible.

In the photographer's tribe, you will find countless good films, but if you shoot consciously, you will not care so much. Press the shutter if you want to shoot, and create a picture ocean with everyone. When discussing how to turn the composition in the brain into photos, I found it very interesting-what the human eye observes is different from what the lens observes, and the image conceived by the human brain is inconsistent with the actual scene. In order to make people's eyes coincide with the lens and accurately express the sketches in their minds with the real scene, on the one hand, you need to constantly shoot to get used to your eyes, on the other hand, you need to rely on the favor of the goddess of inspiration to let you encounter a coincidence scene. ?

Evil: Would you like to hold a film festival if there is an opportunity?

Le: I really thought about it, but I want to show it this way-set up a big screen, and the audience will stand in front of the screen and pay attention to it before there will be works. At the end of watching, it will record how long it takes for individuals to appreciate the works.

Evil: high technology. What's the intention?

Le: I have seen a survey-in today's information explosion era, everyone produces a huge number of pictures every day. A picture attracts your attention for no more than 10 second, and only a picture that resonates will make you linger for more than 10 second. I hope to remind everyone of the death of a work in this way.

Evil: I think this is to reproduce the moment when the photographer presses the shutter and let the audience experience the photographer's capture of the picture.

All roads lead to the same goal. Everything has a way, like a dream, like a bubble, like dew, like electricity, so look at it this way.
