Brian Voski is a photographer for the Los Angeles Times. He lost his job in 2003 because of a news photo of the Iraq war. Voski reported many wars and conflicts for the Los Angeles Times. Awarded 200 1 photographer of the year by California Photographers Association. The Los Angeles Times found that the images of Iraqi civilians taken by Voski were synthesized by digital means. Voski had to admit that he combined two photos to improve the composition, and the Los Angeles Times subsequently fired Voski. Another example of modifying war pictures occurred during the Israel-Lebanon war in August 2006. After the Israeli Air Force bombed the Lebanese capital Beirut, Reuters released the photos of its contracted photographer Adnan Haji. The photos show that the suburbs of Beirut were bombed and dense buildings emitted thick black smoke. However, some bloggers found that Haji used the "copy" function in photoshop software to copy a thick smoke into two strands, and Haji also copied the buildings in the black smoke. Reuters subsequently terminated his contract with Haji.
