Author: Lan Xiaoying As we all know, Zhou Enlai was listed as one of the "four handsome men in the Republic of China" in his early years. He is elegant and personable, so he left countless classic photos. Among these photos, one is considered as the "best photo" by Deng. Below-This classic photo fully shows the generous, elegant, easy-going and noble temperament of Premier Zhou Enlai. To tell the truth, when I first saw this photo, I thought it was painted. It is hard to imagine that real photos will produce this effect. After learning the truth, the author was even more shocked, because this photo was not deliberately posed by Premier Zhou Enlai, but was taken at random, and even the photographer told a big lie about this photo. What's going on here? It was1June, 973, when Italian Foreign Minister Medici visited China, followed by Time magazine photographer Giorgio Lottie. Lottie has admired Premier Zhou Enlai for a long time. At the Geneva Conference, Zhou Enlai fought side by side with 16 countries and charmed countless Westerners. Lottie is one of them. For Lottie, this trip to China is a pilgrimage. 1On the afternoon of 9 October, Zhou Enlai met with the Italian delegation in the Great Hall of the People. Lottie was so excited that she wiped the camera again and again and vowed to take the best photos for Zhou Enlai. However, before he left, the Italian ambassador to China reminded him that according to the regulations, no photos were allowed during this meeting. Lottie suddenly blindsided: I'm a photojournalist. What can I do without taking pictures? Lottie thought for a long time, but she quietly took the camera with her. He hasn't given up. In the Great Hall of the People, the Italian delegation lined up to shake hands with Zhou Enlai. Lottie stood in the middle of the line. When he approached him, Lottie suddenly walked out of the team and returned to the end of the team. What is the reason? It turned out that Lottie realized that if he shook hands with Premier Zhou in the middle of the queue and had to leave, there would be no way to take pictures. Lottie was even more excited to see Zhou Enlai approaching. Finally, when it was his turn, he summoned up his courage and said, "Dear Prime Minister, when I came, I told a big lie and promised not to take pictures of you, but I think it is difficult for me to see you again. Therefore, please allow me to take your picture. " Zhou Enlai also paused, this meeting was not supposed to take pictures, but Zhou Enlai was always considerate and agreed. Lottie walked with excitement and asked Zhou Enlai to sit next to the sofa-this is his favorite position. But after taking a few photos, Lottie didn't feel very satisfied and didn't reach the ideal state. While Lottie was in a hurry, suddenly, someone shouted at the door, and Zhou Enlai looked at the door slightly. Lottie saw this angle is great! So I quickly pressed the shutter and jumped up like a madman. However, Lottie's action also attracted the attention of the guards, and several guards came up to him. Lottie is nervous again. It would be a pity if the last photo she took was confiscated! What shall we do? Lottie used his quick wits to pretend to chat with his colleagues next to him, and used his colleagues' bodies as a cover, so he quickly changed to a new film and stuffed the original film into his pocket. When the guard came over, he said politely, no photos are allowed here. Please hand over the film. Lottie pretended to be poor and took out the film from the camera, but she didn't give it to the guard, but exposed it herself. Seeing that the purpose had been achieved, the guard didn't search him again. In this way, this precious photo was finally preserved. As for why Lottie exposed the film himself, he later explained that if he gave the film to the guard, the guard would go back and develop the photos. If it is found to be blank, he must know that he did something and will continue to pursue it, so he used his quick wits and adopted this method. After returning home, Lottie published this photo in Time magazine, which was quickly reprinted by the media all over the world and caused a great sensation. Nearly 30 years later, in August 2002, the first international photography exhibition was held in Duyun, Guizhou. Lottie also came with the original photos of Zhang Zhengui. In an interview with reporters, he said excitedly, "I was surprised that Duyun, a small city in western China, could hold such a large-scale international event, so I explained my photography knowledge to my friends in China without reservation, and even left the original photo of Zhou Enlai, which was shot in 1973 and caused a sensation all over the world, in China. I will always be a friend of the people of China! " Attached is my favorite photo of Premier Zhou.
