What should I prepare when cutting the ribbon?

(1) The protagonist in the red ribbon-cutting ceremony - "cai" - should be made of a whole piece of unused red satin with several flowers in the middle, some of which are slightly red. To make it simple, just use a narrow red ribbon about two meters in length or a red cloth strip, a red thread, or a red paper strip as the "color". Generally speaking, the flowers on the red ribbon must not only be vivid, large, and eye-catching, but their specific number is often directly related to the number of ribbon-cutters on site. There are two basic situations: one is that the number of flower groups is one more than the number of people cutting the ribbon on site; second, the number of flower groups is one less than the number of people cutting the ribbon on site. The former allows each ribbon-cutting person to always be between two flower clusters, which is particularly formal; the latter is different from the norm and also has new ideas.

(2) New scissors are specially used by those who cut the ribbon when officially cutting the ribbon at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. They must be brand new, sharp and handy, and each on-site ribbon-cutting personnel should have one in their hands. Before the official ribbon cutting begins, the scissors should be carefully inspected. After the ribbon cutting is completed, the organizer can package the scissors used by each ribbon cutter and give them to each other as a souvenir.

(3) White gauze gloves are specially prepared for those who cut the ribbon. It is best for each ribbon-cutting person to wear a pair of white gauze gloves to show their solemnity. Sometimes, you don’t need to prepare white gauze gloves.

(4) The tray is the tray used by the assistant to hold the red ribbon, scissors and white gloves during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. It is best to be brand new and clean. Silver stainless steel products are usually preferred. They can be covered with red velvet or silk cloth when in use.

In terms of quantity, when cutting the ribbon, you can use a tray to hold the ribbon-cutting supplies, and provide scissors and gloves to each ribbon-cutter in turn, and hold all the red ribbons; you can also provide each ribbon-cutting supplies with a tray. Each ribbon cutter is equipped with a tray for scissors and gloves, and a tray for the red ribbon. The latter method is usually used to appear more formal.

(5) Red carpet The red carpet is mainly used to lay where the ribbon-cutters stand when they officially cut the ribbon. Its length depends on the number of people cutting the ribbon, and its width should not be less than one meter. Laying a red carpet at the ribbon-cutting site is mainly to create a festive atmosphere and enhance the quality of the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Sometimes, it may not be laid.
