Notes on Script Class (6): Basic Format of Script Writing

There are three different forms of movie scripts: movie literature scripts, movie storyboards and movie completion scripts. It is three forms of film script. As far as the contents of the three scripts owned by a film are concerned, they are roughly the same, and they are completed by creators in different positions, appearing in different stages of film production and playing different roles.

Literary script is the first link in the whole film creation process, which is completed by the film screenwriter and is the foundation of the film. There are clear regulations on the theme, characters, plot, structure, style and style of future films.

The essence of a film is to tell a good story, so a literary script is the guarantee of the film's success. Only when the director has a good script can he set up a crew and start working.

A literary script generally consists of three parts: a story outline, a biography and a script text.

Synopsis: Describe the story of the script roughly and make the whole story clear. /kloc-within 0/500 words

Biography: introduce the basic information of the main characters in the story, such as age, gender, occupation, personality, growth background, character relationship, etc.

Script text: Write the scene number, time, internal and external settings, specific location, character movements, dialogue and environment of each scene in turn.

The screenwriter is mainly responsible for the literary script, which is also the core and foundation of the whole play. We mainly study the basic writing format of literary plays.

Scripts have professional functions, narrow readers, unfair development and publication in general, and only serve producers, directors, actors, photographers, fine arts, costumes and makeup.

A standardized and standard script is extremely important for the film crew, because it allows professionals to see their works clearly in the script.

There are only four basic elements in the composition of a movie script: scene description, characters, dialogue and action description, and these four elements should be clearly distinguished.

The standard script allows actors and creative artists to find dialogue and action immediately, which is convenient for evaluating the proportion of dialogue and action, the proportion of actors' scenes, the proportion of interior and exterior scenes, the proportion of sunshine and night scenes in each scene.

Every scene should have the following five points. The script is for the coordinator.

Scene number: every scene is a scene.

Time: indicates a time period, such as day/night/dusk/morning. Just to distinguish the sun scene from the night scene. Morning and dusk are special time periods, so mark the sunrise or sunset clearly.

Scene: Describe the natural environment of the scene, such as indoor/outdoor. This is a rough classification.

Location: It is the specific shooting location, such as classroom and playground. The film was shot in the set. For example, there are five scenes in a movie in the classroom, so these five scenes will be shot at the same time.

Character: the name of the character appearing in this play.

For example:

Character image description, character action description, environmental scene description and character dialogue should be distinguished so that readers can see at a glance.

Generally speaking, triangle symbols can be added before the description of people, actions, environment and scenes.

Information such as the tone, state or action of the characters in the dialogue should also be described separately, which can generally be marked with brackets.

The script can also be marked with subtitles, narration, monologues and other information.

Scripts are instructions that tell the crew how to design scenes, how to design actions and how to design lines. It needs refined language and clear expression.

Today we will write the first half of this lesson. I obviously have nothing to do tonight, but I started listening to this script class at 23: 30, which has been delayed for several weeks. Still have to catch up with the script class. A new course has started, and two courses have been updated, but I am completely behind.

Now I have three script classes, seven or eight novel classes and two new advanced writing classes. I feel really in debt.
