Introduction to Changxing Plum Blossom Festival

Changxing Plum Blossom Festival is the first large-scale tourism festival in spring. It is sponsored by Lincheng Town Party Committee and Government, and co-organized by County Party Committee Propaganda Department, County Federation of Literary and Art Circles, County Transportation Bureau, County Forestry Bureau, County Education Bureau, County Tourism Bureau, Changxing Oriental Plum Garden Company, Lincheng Meinong Association, Changxing Information Port, etc. It has developed from a simple plum blossom viewing activity to a city-wide carnival integrating flower viewing exploration, entertainment, song and dance performance, cultural display and business exchange. Changxing has a long history of planting plum blossoms. According to records, it is said that during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, there were hundreds of thousands of plum trees along the way, 20 miles north from the county seat. Changxing is an important plum blossom base in China, and the plum blossom in Changxing is the most in Lincheng, occupying a decisive position in the county.
