How to get EXIF information of photos

If this shot picture is still stored in the memory card of the camera, we can see the EXIF information of the picture through an item in the picture menu of the camera, including shutter speed, aperture, shooting time and so on.

If your picture is already on your computer, right-click the picture file, and then click Properties. One of the options is "Details".

EXIF information obtained by the above two methods is not complete data, but the basic information can be seen.

The last way to view EXIF information data is through image editing software. I'm using Photoshop Elements 2.0? (MAC version) This software. So when I open a picture with this software, I use the file menu, then select file information, and then I have two options: general EXIF information. I choose EXIF information option. Now you can see a lot of information, including: camera model, resolution, shooting time and date, shutter speed, ISO and aperture size, and other related information. The information is very detailed. I can see the focal length of the lens I use by pulling down.

You will find that different cameras output different EXIF information. For example, the old camera stores little EXIF information, but it stores some basic information.

Matters needing attention

By looking at EXIF information, the photographer can find the information when shooting, so as to avoid making the same mistake, so EXIF information is very important to the photographer.

For example, when I see the photo above, I will think, "Oh, I should have taken it with greater depth of field. My focus is not only on my hands, but also on my face! " Then, I will look at the EXIF information of this photo, and the aperture is f/4.0.

When I want to take similar photos in the future, I think I should use a smaller aperture, such as f/5.6 or above.

Similarly, I also saw that this photo is too grainy, so I checked EXIF, ISO is 400, and it should be raised to more than 200 when I take it next time.
