This is probably the simplest and rudest stadium you have ever seen in the starry sky time-lapse shooting.
As a result, a friend of a friend chased and asked how to shoot the starry sky delay. Khan, to be honest, I'm a novice in this field, too. It's a joke to ask me to write a starry sky delay course after crossing so many masters in front. But if you want to simply learn this effect from me, it's not impossible. I'll just talk about the most basic principles.
0 1.
Finding the starry sky is the premise.
Nonsense, isn't it? If you want to shoot the starry sky, you must find a large starry sky visible to the naked eye. It is natural to have galaxies. As for how to find the starry sky, that is another course. Generally, like remote and uninhabited scenic spots, Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, Qinghai and other places are prone to good starry sky. You can search all kinds of famous "places to see" in China starry sky by yourself.
The Sailimu Lake we shot this time is not only a beautiful sunset, but also a good place to watch the starry sky.
02.
Equipment:
SLR or micro-single that can be shot at intervals, such as Canon, Nikon and Sony. Sony Dafa is very suitable for shooting delay. I personally use Nikon D8 10. How about a mobile phone? All right, let's stop joking. Maybe it's not completely impossible, but the effect is different.
The lens with large wide angle and large aperture is ideally 14mm F 1.8 or F2.8, but you can be wider. I used the F2.8 head of14-24 mm.
A stable tripod, it is best to hang a weight bag under the tripod to enhance stability. My colleague Mrding's tripod was vomited all the way by me, and it can shake itself without wind. The tripod I brought to Xinjiang this time is the thickest and largest one in Bainuo, which is really good.
03.
Shooting parameters:
The framing and composition are your personal business, but the parameters can be roughly set as follows:
At the end of 14mm, bring as many galaxies as possible into the lens. Of course, if you want to shoot the Milky Way in the middle, that's another matter.
Adjust the focus mode to manual focus and screw the focus ring to infinity. Most lenses need to be screwed to infinity, and then turned back a little bit to focus on the starry sky clearly.
M file shooting mode.
F2.8 aperture is fully open.
The shutter is about 15-20 seconds. You can take an exam once or twice to see the brightness of the starry sky.
Turn off high ISO noise reduction and long exposure noise reduction in the machine.
Shoot the original source file format.
After the above parameters are adjusted in place, the interval shooting mode is adopted, and the set shutter interval time is about 15 seconds, mainly to let CMOS have a rest. You can set the number of shots to infinity (if your machine can), otherwise it is 999 or 9999. I can't shoot that much anyway.
One more important thing to note: the battery is extremely important for shooting for several hours! Many cameras can use fake batteries. I can shoot the starry sky for hours with the original Nikon battery fully charged. Even if the temperature at the lake is only 5-6 degrees, the batteries in the auxiliary factory will be hehe.
Press shoot, and the rest thing is to stay away from ... The four of us stood suddenly by the lake all night, talked all night, marveled at the meteor all night, and kept shouting: Have you made a wish? It is estimated that no one really wants such a result. When there are too many meteors, wishing is always cheap.
That night was great and interesting. ...

Post production:
After the shooting, I got a lot of star maps like the following, and then what should I do?
To deal with the sky map well, there is a set of elaborate PS process. I haven't learned the details such as star zoom and soft focusing ... so I can only take the following methods simply and rudely:
All original source files are pulled into PS and processed in batch in camera raw. It's better to use lightroom, because we will use lightroom to delay flashing later.
Lightroom regularly shoots the flash. This process needs to be written separately. I didn't use LRT in this video, so I turned it white. Otherwise, in theory, the later process should be: first, LRT and lightroom process key frames, then return to LRT flash, and finally pull in after effect to make delayed video.
Of course, experts may also use software such as Da Vinci to do video color matching. I don't understand.
Then output to a block, complete.
If you can keep up with the rhythm after listening, it proves that your photography level is good. If you feel confused, haha, then I will tell you:
This is just a very low-level entry strategy. If you want to make a successful starry sky delay, you must know everything about me.
