Saving Private Ryan is one of the classic American war movies. It describes the four sons of the Ryan family who fought in the front line after the Normandy landing. Except James Ryan, the youngest son of1kloc-0/airborne division, whose whereabouts are still unknown, all the other three sons have died within two weeks. General Marshall, the chief of staff of the US Army, was informed of the incident. For humanitarian reasons, he ordered the front line to organize an eight-member team, just to find out the elusive private James Ryan in the sea of people and bullets and send him back safely. The most fascinating part of the film is the opening scene of Normandy landing on the beach, which reproduces the cruelty and misery of that year to a considerable extent.
