Are the photos printed by the digital photo printer the same as those printed?
No, the imaging principles of photo printers and color enlargers are different. The printer sprays ink droplets onto photographic paper by micro-piezoelectric or thermal gun technology, and the color enlarger exposes photographic paper by light source, and then images by chemical reaction with liquid medicine. From the point of view of particles, inkjet is physical particle imaging, and particles are visible, while color expansion is molecular particle imaging, which cannot be distinguished by naked eyes, so color expansion is more precise and delicate than inkjet.
The imaging of digital images depends on cameras, and the transformation of photographic paper into photos depends on output devices. There are many kinds of photographic paper for photo printing, and different materials can be selected as needed. There is no difference between the paper base of photographic paper, whether it is printed or expanded color, but the number of layers on it is different.
On a small frame, even if the printer drops 2 microliters, there will still be traces of ink ejection. However, in large format, due to the immaturity of color expansion technology and cost control, printing still dominates this field.
