Training objectives: This major trains teachers who master the basic theory, knowledge and skills of fine arts and are competent for fine arts teaching and teaching research in middle schools. There are four professional directions: Chinese painting, oil painting, sculpture and seal cutting. Graduates are mainly engaged in art education in middle schools and normal schools, and art creation in cultural centers (stations).

Main courses: sketch, gouache, Chinese painting, oil painting, calligraphy seal cutting, sculpture, decoration design, photography, art introduction, Chinese and foreign art history, art aesthetics, English, computer application, art teaching method in middle schools, etc.

This major lasts for four years, and a bachelor of arts degree is awarded after graduation.
