Is pixel height important?

Hello!

Accurate focusing is the first condition to ensure clear photos.

Pixel can only determine the format size of the output photos, and it is not the main condition that affects the image quality (including definition), nor is it the main factor in choosing a digital camera-but it plays a decisive role in the format size of the output photos.

First look at the relationship between pixels and photo size:

3 million copies of 3R and 4R photos are enough;

It costs about 5 million to print A4 format photos;

8 million pixels is enough to print or spray a photo larger than A3 (calendar size) format.

12 million pixels is enough for printing or painting (A 1-594x84 1 mm) photos with a width of A 1 or more.

It can be seen that if it is not used in the advertising industry, the photo of 10 million pixels has exceeded the needs of home use.

When the area and size of the photosensitive element are fixed, there is a certain limit value for the pixel. If it exceeds this limit, the photosensitive element will easily produce adverse effects such as electron thermal drift effect, which will lead to the decline of image quality.

At present, the maximum area of the photosensitive element (CCD) used in domestic digital cameras is only about11.7 inches. As far as the current manufacturing technology is concerned, it is appropriate to design a CCD with this area below 1200W pixels. Some new models have been upgraded to 1500W pixels, which has already exceeded the pixel accommodation limit of CCD-on the contrary, it is possible that noise will increase and image quality will decline due to the phenomenon of "electronic thermal drift".

Therefore, it is neither necessary nor wise to blindly pursue high pixels.

At present, the top consumer models with a price of more than 3,000 yuan on the market, such as Canon's G series and Panasonic's LX series, are all equipped with/kloc-0.0 million pixels-in order to pursue high image quality.
