[Edit this paragraph] Plot synopsis

Plot 1:

Admiral's son Chang Wei (Ni Xing) coveted Qin Xiaolian (Zhang Min)'s beauty, took the opportunity to rape her, and killed her after the incident. Thirteen members of her husband's family bribed witnesses and falsely accused Lian of having an affair with a servant. Lian was beaten and sentenced to death. Alternate county magistrate Bao Longxing (Stephen Chow) discovers something fishy and wants to overturn Lian's case. He sneaks to the scene at night to conduct an autopsy, but is falsely accused of destroying the body and destroying traces. After escaping from prison, Xing went to Beijing to file a petition against the imperial court. He encountered many twists and turns along the way, and even managed to survive in a brothel. It happened that the emperor paid a private visit to Bada Hutong incognito, and Xing helped the emperor get out of the predicament and was able to turn over, and finally got the three-level judicial review to overturn the case for Lian.

Due to the popularity of the court drama "The Death Trial", the director Wang Jingnai adapted the Pingju opera story into a Zhou-style comedy. Officials are more unscrupulous and therefore more free. However, compared with the more literary expression techniques in "The Inquisitor", the comedy methods of this film are too vulgar.

Plot 2:

Alternate county magistrate Bao Longxing (played by Stephen Chow) is relatively greedy, but he is fairly upright. Zhang Min married a wealthy businessman as his wife, but was teased by Chang Wei, the son of a nobleman. Zhang Min did not follow Chang Wei's advice, and killed the entire Zhang family, and framed the blame on Zhang Min. Bao Longxing discovered something fishy, ??but was framed by Fang Tangjing and others and fled to another country. On the way to Beijing to complain, they ran out of money and Xing had to work in a brothel. He witnessed the boss's wife's scolding and quarreling skills, so he secretly learned and practiced the quarreling skills that can make the dead come back to life. One day, by chance, he met the emperor who came to visit a prostitute, and he formed a deep friendship with him. The emperor appointed Xing as the imperial envoy to re-examine the case. After a confrontation in court, the villain was finally punished.

[Edit this paragraph] Brief review

Some of Stephen Chow's nonsensical comedies are just to make the audience laugh, and do not emphasize very strict logical relationships, but the comedy in "The Nine-Princess Sesame Official" The plot setting is full of subtle foreshadowing. The content of the story echoes back and forth, making the hilarious scenes throughout the film interlocking and endless.

Watching "Sesame Official", the audience can feel the director's overall ability to grasp the development of the story, and Stephen Chow's relaxed and measured performance is the indispensable lubricant for these plots. "Official" was filmed during the heyday of Stephen Chow's film career. Compared with some of the star's later films that deliberately "played with depth", this film better reflects Stephen Chow's ability to make "nonsensical" films. The most important thing is that it is full of the most primitive needs of the audience when watching Stephen Chow's movies: to appreciate a meaningful movie filled with jokes.

The most outstanding parts of the film are the two major scenes of Bao Longxing's hard-working oral skills in the brothel and the three-division trial. Apply the model of martial arts movies to the process of practicing "mouth skills", stealing skills, practicing in front of the sea, blowing out candles, verbally fighting with chickens, etc., especially to create dazzling "salty" seafood such as crabs, fish and shrimps. The unique subtitles in "wet" languages ??are very creative. During the joint trial performance, Mr. Xing used a private way of talking to the officials, which was very lively and heart-warming.

In addition, the cast of this film can be called a big cast. In addition to Zhou Wu's dream team, there are also Zhang Min, Chung Liti, Cai Shaofen, Yuan Qiongdan, Xu Jinjiang, Huang Yishan and others. Although these supporting characters are by no means big stars, they are mostly Xing Ge's old team members and are indispensable for creating a complete atmosphere. Brother Xing's performance also maintained his usual level, even exceeding his level in a few passages, and his overall level was excellent.
