Why is the photographer called the old mage?

"Old mage is a derogatory term for photographers who use cameras. Photographer, with the same name, without derogatory meaning. The concept of an old mage does not lie in the word "old". Many people don't know why they are all taking pictures with cameras, why they call a group of people "old wizards", while others claim to be "photographers" from above.
