Has the site of Dadiwan been recognized in 8000?
The prehistoric cultural site of Dadiwan is located in Qin 'an County, Tianshui City, eastern Gansu Province. It was first discovered by the Cultural Relics Department of Gansu Province on 1958. The total distribution range of the site is 165438+ 10,000 square meters, with rich connotations, which can be roughly divided into five cultural periods.
The first phase of Dadiwan culture, the early, middle and late Yangshao culture and the lower level of Changshan culture, lasted from 8000 years ago to 5000 years ago. Among them, the first phase of Dadiwan culture, which is 8000 years ago, is the earliest Neolithic culture in archaeological discoveries in northwest China so far.
1988 65438+ 10/3, Dadiwan site was announced by the people of China and the State Council as the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units. 1994 65438+February, Dadiwan site was designated as a patriotic education base by Gansu Provincial Committee. 202 1 10 18 was selected as one of the "Top 100 Archaeological Discoveries in a Hundred Years" in China.
The earliest production area of painted pottery:
The discovery of painted pottery in Dadiwan solved the origin of painted pottery art in China. At the beginning of the 20th century, in order to explore the source of Chinese civilization, academic circles made attempts and efforts from the perspectives of archaeology and literature. Gansu has also become one of the earliest areas that have been paid attention to in the process of exploring the origin of Chinese civilization.
192 1 year, the Swedish geologist An Tesheng discovered Yangshao culture in Henan, ending the argument that there was no Stone Age in China. 1923 In order to find the origin of painted pottery, An Tesheng came to Gansu. With the continuous excavation of painted pottery in Majiayao, Gansu, An Tesheng thinks that painted pottery in Gansu is obviously influenced by painted pottery in Western Europe and West Asia.
An Tesheng's understanding became the most powerful archaeological evidence that "China culture came from the West" at that time, which had a considerable impact on academic circles at home and abroad.
Although "China culture came from the West" was quickly broken, An Tesheng's investigation of painted pottery in Gansu "brought a much broader vision than in the past" and explored the origin of Chinese civilization. Since then, field archaeological excavation has become the only way for historical research, especially prehistoric research.
With the discovery of Longshan Cultural Site in Zhangqiu, Shandong Province and Yinxu Cultural Site in Anyang, Henan Province, a large number of prehistoric sites have fundamentally shaken the argument that "China culture comes from the West". An Tesheng not only revised his viewpoint, but also found more convincing evidence for the local origin of Chinese civilization.
However, despite this, the origin of painted pottery has not been completely solved, mainly because the painted pottery in West Asia is earlier than that in Majiayao, China. The discovery of Dadiwan site solved the origin of painted pottery in China.
Painted pottery unearthed in the first phase of Dadiwan is earlier than that of Majiayao, which is roughly equivalent to the era of Mo Ye pottery culture and Hassana culture in the two river basins of West Asia.
Therefore, the first phase of Dadiwan Culture is the earliest producing area of painted pottery in China, and Gansu is not only China but also one of the earliest producing areas of painted pottery in the world. The recognition that painted pottery in China originated from the local area has been confirmed.
