Located in the southwest of Xuhui District, Shanghai Botanical Garden, formerly Longhua Nursery, is a comprehensive botanical garden focusing on plant introduction and domestication, horticultural research and popular science education. 1974 started construction, and 1980+0 officially built the garden, covering an area of 8 1.86 hectares. There are 15 characteristic gardens in the exhibition area, including plant evolution area, bonsai garden, herb garden, exhibition greenhouse, orchid room and greening demonstration area.

There are fern garden, pine and cypress garden, Yulan Park, peony garden, rhododendron garden, rose garden, maple garden, osmanthus garden and bamboo garden around the pond. The terrain in the area is undulating, pavilions and flowers complement each other.
