Born in 1950, my ancestral home is Huai 'an, Jiangsu. Graduated from Chinese Department of Fudan University, 1989 Master of Drama History and Theory, Central Academy of Drama. Chinese Writers Association, Chinese Dramatists Association and other members. He used to be the executive editor of TV Art magazine and the editorial board of Drama magazine of Beijing TV Artists Association. At present, he is the director, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Film and Television Department of the Central Academy of Drama, the doctoral supervisor of the China Academy of Art, a member of the art discipline evaluation group of the the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, a member of the expert group of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Cultural and Art Bureau, and a judge of the "Five Ones" project award.

I studied in primary and secondary schools in Shanghai before the Cultural Revolution.

1968 went to Heilongjiang production and construction corps to farm,

1976 stayed in the department to teach after graduation.

1978 transferred to the Department of Drama and Literature of the Central Academy of Drama,
