Why can't the camera be turned on?

Use the camera software that comes with your computer.

1. Enter [Camera] ① in the Windows search bar, and then click [Open] ②.

2. After opening the [Camera] program built in Windows, if there is no abnormality, your laptop camera is normal. If there are any abnormal problems, please continue with the following troubleshooting steps.

Note: Whether there are problems such as undetectable video equipment, no video picture, abnormal video picture, video picture inversion, etc.

Provide application permissions

1. Enter [Camera Privacy Settings] ① in the Windows search bar, and then click [Open] ②.

2. Set [Camera Access] to ON ③.

3. Set [Allow applications to access your camera] to ON ④.

4. Expand the "Allow applications to access your camera" field, where you can turn on/off which applications can use the camera.

Update and confirm that the BIOS, Windows components and drivers in the computer are up to date.

Software updates usually contribute to the stability and optimization of the system, so it is recommended that you always confirm that your equipment is using the latest version.

If the problem persists after the BIOS, Windows components and drivers are updated to the latest version, continue to the troubleshooting steps in the next chapter.

Enable and reinstall the camera driver through Device Manager.

1. Enter [Device Manager] ① in the Windows search bar, and then click [Open] ②.

2. Click the arrow ③ next to the [camera] device type. Click the right mouse button ④ on [Name of your camera device], and then click [Enable device] ⑤. Confirm whether the camera can be used normally.

If the [Enable Device] option is not displayed, your camera is enabled, please continue to the next step.

3. Uninstall the camera driver. Right-click [Name of your camera device] ⑥, and then click [Uninstall device] ⑥.

4. Check [Delete the driver software of this device] ⑧, and then click [Uninstall] ⑨.

5. Click [Operation] in the upper column of Device Manager, and then click [Scan for hardware changes]? , the system will automatically reinstall the camera driver. ?

6. After installing the camera driver, please restart the computer first, and then try to open the camera application again. If the camera problem persists, continue with the following troubleshooting steps.

Restore the system through the system restore point

If the camera problem started recently, and you have previously established a system restore point or an automatic restore point established by the system, you can try to restore the system to the point before the problem started to solve the problem.
