1985 Laoshan Front Line: The squad leader of the People's Liberation Army took the soldiers to bask in the sun, and the Vietnamese army quietly attacked and ambushed China.

From 1979, Vietnam showed a strong intention to invade our territory, and the separatist war between the two countries 10 began.

During this period, many war heroes appeared in the PLA ranks, and Du Changlin, who was only 2 1 year old at that time, was one of them.

1In May, 985, the Chinese and Vietnamese armed forces fought fiercely for Songmaoling, a strategic location on the front line of Laoshan Mountain.

Among them, the 140 position is in danger, and our army cannot easily lose it. There is a checkpoint only 10 meters away from the Vietnamese position. This is where Du Changlin, monitor of Class 2, Company 4, Battalion 2, 597, was ordered to be stationed.

This checkpoint is the closest to the Vietnamese defense zone. Once the enemy attacks and sneak attacks, the PLA stationed there will naturally face the highest degree of danger.

However, it must be mentioned that this checkpoint is also like a hard thorn stuck in the enemy's throat, so that they dare not act rashly.

It turned out that there was only a cat's ear hole dug by a stone, and all nine people in Du Changlin's class were crowded in it.

In order to get more defensive support, Du Changlin led his comrades to dig with both hands while defending the enemy, and dug up the other four outposts hard, which greatly reduced the risk.

In addition, he also used the night to lay more than 300 grenades around the checkpoint, which made full preparations for sticking to the checkpoint.

Our army aims at attacking the enemy who illegally occupies our territory, but it is not easy to wage war. Moreover, the Vietnamese army knew that our army was actively preparing for war and dared not attack easily. The two armies confronted each other and were exhausted.

Du Changlin felt that the battle was badly fought, so he came up with a way to lure the enemy and design the Vietnamese army as a turtle in a jar.

So Du Changlin and his comrades-in-arms deliberately put on a relaxed look, basking in the sun at the mouth of the cave, laughing and laughing, hoping to paralyze the enemy and make him feel that he has a chance.

Sure enough, the Vietnamese army saw Du Changlin's performance and was really "tempted". They thought Du Changlin was a recruit from the security office and had little combat experience. They may take the opportunity to sneak attack and destroy them.

1On the night of May 27th, 985, the Vietnamese army sent a dozen people to sneak up on Du Changlin's checkpoint.

The enemy slowed down after approaching the position. They found the checkpoint quiet, and really thought that the PLA soldiers were asleep. The mantis doesn't necessarily have cicadas, and the yellowbird is behind. All this has long been clearly known by Du Changlin, who has been hiding.

The enemy groped carefully forward. Seeing that the time was ripe, Du Changlin decisively pulled into the mine. With a loud noise, five Vietnamese troops were caught off guard and died tragically for their country.

After that, PLA soldiers launched a strong fire attack, and most of the remaining Vietnamese troops fell to the ground. Only a few people fled quickly in a panic, and Du Changlin finally had a good time.

On May 3 1 day, the angry Vietnamese army could not hold back again and launched a large-scale revenge attack on Duchanglin. Du Changlin led his comrades-in-arms to fight bravely with the enemy, and called the surrounding comrades-in-arms for artillery support to successfully repel the enemy.

In this way, Duchang forest belt led comrades to bravely repel the enemy's attacks for more than 20 times. There were no casualties. He held his ground for 96 days and killed 82 Vietnamese troops. 140 After the battle, in order to reward his heroic behavior, his superiors promoted him to platoon leader and won the "second class merit".

On February 2, 65438, Du Changlin, who was relieved of the guard by his superiors, captured the 405 highland occupied by the Vietnamese army. This highland is easy to defend but difficult to attack. This is a strategic place, and the Vietnamese army has a reinforced platoon equipped with heavy machine guns and mortars to defend it.

Du Changlin was ordered, and under the cover of our artillery fire, he soon came to the surface position of 405, but the Vietnamese army still wanted to fight back. The rest of their soldiers got into eight surrounding caves, respectively. The PLA soldiers took out explosives and flame throwers to search and eradicate them one by one, and successively attacked and destroyed seven caves.

However, the remaining Vietnamese soldiers in Cave 5 still have no intention of surrendering, and they still fire from the inside out, and the Vietnamese army in the distance is also providing them with fire help.

Du Changlin ordered his comrades to suppress the fire of the Vietnamese army. He quietly climbed to the mouth of the cave with two explosive charges. After approaching the No.5 hole, Du Changlin threw the explosive charge into the hole, and then took the opportunity to rush in quickly with a submachine gun.

But when he went in, he found it was a sub-hole. Du Changlin dare not relax. He laid down his weapon and searched for the remaining enemy. There are some beaten soldiers in the cave. After Du Changlin judged the direction, he picked up the prepared Grenade and threw it in. There was a scream from inside.

At this time, Chen Guang, a class monitor, followed closely, and the two treated each other with sincerity and touched the depths of the cave together. Du Changlin saw a Vietnamese soldier lying in a corner, seriously injured and ready to be captured alive.

Just then, the bullets came uniformly. It turns out that there is a hole in this small hole, and the Vietnamese army inside is going to kill them as appropriate.

The keen Du Changlin immediately dodged, rang, threw a Grenade in the attack direction, and then slammed it with a machine gun, killing four Vietnamese troops.

After further counting the battlefield, the remaining two remnants of the 405 highland were thoroughly searched and killed. The position was successfully occupied by PLA soldiers and guarded by Du Changlin's troops.

At this time, Du Changlin learned that Liang Ling, the deputy company commander, had to endure grief. In one day, he led the soldiers to beat back the enemy's 24 counterattacks and firmly held the position.

Unfortunately, in the enemy's last counterattack, Du Changlin was hit in the head, and Du Changlin, who was in shock, was finally rescued from the position by his comrades, only to save his life.

Based on this, Du Changlin won the first class merit and was awarded the title of "War Hero" in May 1986.

Du Changlin, who left the battlefield, did not immediately take off his military uniform. He has served as deputy company commander, deputy director of the political department, deputy political commissar of the regiment and deputy director of the political department of the division. 20 12 transferred to Shandong Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

Today's peace is hard-won. Most of us only know the hardships of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in eight years and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, but seldom know the Sino-Vietnamese War in the 1980s.

In this war that lasted for several years, many PLA soldiers also paid the price of their lives to defend the safety of the motherland and the people.

Heroes die, and their spirit lives on forever. I am really grateful to them, and I am also grateful to those soldiers who survived the war, because they defended the stability and peace of the motherland with their bodies.
