What do you think of the current domestic Korean wave blowing so badly?
The sunset Tianshui Korean drama takes the people-friendly route. For example, Dae Jang Geum perfectly shows the national culture and lifestyle of Korea. However, domestic TV dramas are operated in accordance with the market-oriented mode, and they like to follow the trend and have no real feelings. The typology of Korean dramas is obvious and easily criticized by us. For example, the repeated emotional entanglements of the heroines in The Prince and The Ugly Duckling, but strangely, the repeated life tragedies and family ethics entanglements constantly touch the emotional hearts of the audience. This can only show that human emotional stories are similar, and human emotional dreams need to be repeated.
Korean dramas make up for the lack of domestic plot sense.
There are more and more types of TV dramas in China, from the initial drama to the current funny drama and comedy; From the original historical drama to a series of secret history and jokes now; Emotional drama has developed from the original single love theme to the present family ethics drama, fairy tale drama and so on. Real life drama has been greatly expanded. The popularity of Korean dramas lies in the extensive adaptation, which captures the emotional needs of the audience. What is disproved here is the lack of domestic drama, the lack of gentle emotional needs, the lack of classical family ethics needs and the lack of sincere emotional needs.
Pay attention to the integration of national culture and international culture
China's film and television works roaming the world cannot go to the world without China, nor can they be too China. There is a question of the combination of national culture and international culture. The typology of Korean dramas is based on extensive human acceptance, and its family ethics, cultural habits and family relations are accepted by more ordinary people. Korean dramas strengthen these contents and even show them in a modular way, which makes people in different countries familiar and even intoxicated.

An analysis of the reasons for the popularity of Korean dramas in China
Introduction: Korean drama is the abbreviation of Korean TV drama. From 65438 to 0997, China CCTV introduced and broadcast the Korean TV series What is Love, which caused an unexpected sensation among the audience in China. During the premiere, Editor-in-Chief Taiwan Province received more than 200 calls from viewers asking for a replay of the play in one day, which surprised the editor-in-chief and the international department. 1998, CCTV replayed the drama on Channel 2, which triggered a Korean drama craze in China. In the same year, Korean music companies, represented by Korean Tian Yu Company, introduced a large number of works by famous Korean musicians to China. After 1999, HOT, NGR and other combinations entered the Chinese mainland market in an all-round way, and together with Hanbok, movies and TV series, they formed a powerful "Korean Wave", which impacted the popular culture in China. (Li Zhongyang, 200 1) With the continuous spread of "Korean Wave", Korean cultural followers, mainly young people, have appeared in China, known as the "Ha-Han nationality". Korean drama is the most powerful and influential among the various cultural forms that constitute the "Korean Wave". After all, only some young people follow fashion music, hairstyles and costumes, while TV plays are loved by people of all ages, occupations and cultural levels. Because TV series is a comprehensive art like movies, it "combines drama, literature, painting, sculpture, architecture, music, dance, photography and other artistic elements, and carries out a qualitative chemical transformation, so that these artistic elements merge with each other after entering the film and television, forming a new feature of film and television" (Peng Jixiang, 2002, p. 234). Therefore, Korean dramas not only vividly reproduce the customs of South Korea, but also are good at telling stories and have greater appeal. At the same time, it appears in the form of a series, which always leaves suspense and attracts the curiosity of the audience, thus forming a "dating consciousness" and can't help but watch it episode by episode.
After What is Love, CCTV introduced First Love (66 episodes), The Man in the Bathhouse Owner's House (83 episodes), The Truth (18 episodes), Ben (8 episodes), Twin Brothers and Sisters (44 episodes, also called Mom and Sister) and Harmony. The ratings are much higher than most western TV dramas (except brothers) broadcast in the same period and column (1), among which First Love and the Man in the Bathroom Boss's House are also arranged to be replayed in an afternoon feature film, and the ratings are also much higher than the first broadcast. (2) At the same time, Beijing TV Station, Phoenix TV Station and other local TV stations have successively broadcast dramas such as Project Runway, Searching for Stars, Falling in Love with Female Anchor, and Blue Love for Life and Death, which have aroused the audience's strong interest and can't stop. At first, CCTV only introduced the first 60 episodes of Watch. When the last episode was broadcast, it was neglected to inform the audience. As a result, several phone calls of the column group were blown up by the audience. As soon as I hang up, a new listener will call in, and nine times out of ten, I still ask the same question. At the same time, the column group also received a large number of letters and postcards from the audience. Some viewers expressed their sincere love for the play and hoped to introduce the whole play; Some put forward reflections on domestic TV dramas; Some people expressed regret that they didn't enjoy themselves, and some even expressed extreme anger and even made rude remarks. One of the authors, as a member of the column group, experienced the storm personally, so he was deeply touched.
Korean dramas are mainly produced and distributed by three major TV companies in Korea, namely MBC (Korean Culture Broadcasting), KBS (Korean TV Station) and SBS (Seoul TV Station). Judging from its program content, it can be divided into the following four parts: "Family Fun" drama, sitcom, urban idol drama and action drama, miscellaneous (such as underworld content, ghost stories, myths and legends, etc. ) Most of the dramas introduced and broadcast in Chinese mainland are "Family Fun" dramas and urban idol dramas. In fact, Korean dramas are mostly indoor dramas, the contents of which are ordinary family chores except the emotional life of young people. It can be said that they are quite trivial, and the plot develops very slowly, which seems to be incompatible with the impetuous mood of the audience in China at present. So, why is it still so attractive? This issue has attracted the attention and discussion of the industry and cultural communication scholars in China and South Korea.
These discussions focus on three aspects: rich cultural characteristics, excellent production (including eye-catching idol stars, beautiful music and pictures, vivid and interesting lines, fascinating plots, etc. ) and the close economic ties between China and South Korea. Wang Li (200 1) thinks that there are four points: first, the emotional identity of Asian cultural circles; Secondly, the sense of the times is in line with international standards; The third is well-made; Fourthly, partial surrealism gives people a sense of satisfaction. Qi Xiaofeng, a Korean teacher in beijing language and culture university, also believes that there are many cultural similarities between the two countries due to geographical and historical reasons. "Korea has long been influenced by China's traditional culture, especially Confucianism. We are very familiar with traditional values and virtues. The cultures of the two countries have a strong affinity, so people in China have a familiar feeling when watching Korean film and television dramas. Although China people are ready to accept western values, due to cultural differences, many people find that European and American cultures have nothing to do with daily life, and the emphasis on violence and sex in western film and television dramas also makes them uncomfortable. Korean pop culture skillfully and creatively combines Western culture with Asian culture. " She also believes that the close economic ties between China and South Korea are also one of the reasons for the formation of the "Korean Wave" (3). South Korea Zheng (2003) divided these reasons into external reasons-the long history of Chinese and Korean culture, the function of Korean cultural industry mechanism and internal reasons-rich exotic customs, relaxed and lively themes, fascinating plots, pure and aesthetic styles, modern and popular scenes, diverse and fashionable themes and exquisite production. Fei Yi (2002) analyzed the production and management of TV series, and thought that there were three charms: idol in power, life-oriented plot and the infiltration of commercial culture.
These are the analysis of experts and scholars, but the audience in China knows best why they like Korean dramas. Therefore, we try to analyze the reasons through in-depth interviews with audiences who especially like Korean dramas.
Results and discussion
Through data analysis, we can sum up the reasons why Korean dramas are popular in China into four categories: high production level, cultural factors, economic factors and the lack of similar domestic TV dramas. The following four points are elaborated respectively.
First, the production level is high.
In the field of communication, the era of highly developed image communication is called "the era of reading pictures", and the media economy that exploits the market and obtains economic benefits by attracting the attention of the target audience is called "eyeball economy". In other words, if a media product wants to attract more target audiences, it must first look good. Faced with a variety of TV programs, the audience with the remote control only decides what to watch by their own feelings. Unlike sitting in a cinema watching movies, I have no right to talk about what I see. Moreover, TV is often watched by a family, and the programs that everyone likes are the most attractive to the audience. For a TV series, good-looking mainly includes the following aspects:
1, a good screenwriter-the level of screenwriter directly determines the success or failure of a TV series. Whether the theme is healthy and uplifting, whether the story can impress the audience, whether the plot arrangement is reasonable and whether the lines are wonderful are all crucial factors;
2, the actor is good-including two aspects. On the one hand, whether the actor looks handsome, on the other hand, whether the actor's performance is in place, whether it makes the audience feel authentic and in line with the identity of the role;
3, good music-this also includes two aspects. One is whether the music itself is pleasing to the ear, and the other is whether it is consistent with the plot, that is, whether it is used properly;
4, the picture is good-including the choice of venue, composition, color, lens changes and the use of light. Its success depends on whether it can give the audience a sense of realism and pleasure and increase the audience's interest in the play.
During our interview, several interviewees talked about the above aspects, and agreed that they like Korean dramas first because they are "good-looking". 3F said, "I like it not because it is a Korean drama, but because it is a good one. Of course, it is also related to the Korean cultural background, but the most important thing is because it looks good. " 6F feels the same way: "I like watching Korean dramas because they look good. All the 60 waiters in our dormitory like watching it very much. It is said that Korean dramas are better than China TV dramas. "
According to the interview, we summarize the reasons why Korean dramas look good as follows:
1, the screenwriter level is high. Including healthy content and strong ideological content; The plot is close to life; The lines are beautifully written. A prominent feature of Korean dramas introduced and broadcast in China is that the content is healthy, the pictures are clean, there are no bad guys in absolute sense, and there are no descriptions of sex and violence. Whether it is family life drama or youth idol drama, the theme is to teach people to be positive, respect others and be kind to others, which is very suitable for the whole family to watch together. On this basis, the scriptwriting technique is also quite ingenious. 4F said this when talking about the screenwriter of "The Man in the Bathhouse Master's Home": "I wrote it for a year, and it showed the daily life of Koreans in particular detail. And its screenwriter is Kim Soo Hyun, a famous Korean screenwriter, so the lines are excellent. One character after another, the lines often make you laugh. Although the plot develops slowly and a small matter is said for a long time, the writing is particularly delicate. You won't be bored looking at it. You will feel that this is true, just like opening the door next door to see their lives. I think this is particularly beautiful. If I give scriptwriting lessons to students in the future, I will take that one ("The Man in the Bathhouse Owner's Home"). "The high level of scriptwriting in Korean dramas is that they are very close to life, making people feel original, with no traces of carving, and they are top-notch in literary creation. 3F talked about this: "I am very interested in literature. From a creative point of view, it is very attractive. Korean dramas are concise and decent, and the foreshadowing is well buried. This is not like a fictional story, but like a true story. In creation, it can be called the real top grade, that is, a drama that is less like a drama is a more real drama, and a novel that is less like a novel is a more real novel. In fact, this kind of creation requires the greatest efforts. For example, the eldest sister-in-law in the bathhouse is fat and the second sister-in-law is thin. The audience may not notice it at first, but it will appear later. For example, my sister-in-law can't have children, but her husband is an obstetrician. The eldest son's three daughters are clever (mute), kind (silver crystal) and beautiful (Xiujing). However, kind Eun-kyung was the last one who disobeyed her parents. Beautiful Xiujing got a husband who appreciated her beauty but didn't love her so much. The last thing you want to get true love and respect from others is silence. " Speaking of the lines of "The Man in the Bathroom Master's Home", the following sentence of 3F clearly expressed her appreciation: "Many of our colleagues like watching it very much, and they often take pride in reciting more. "In terms of role-building, 3F's point of view is:" (The man in the bathhouse owner) I like all the characters, but in terms of my age, gender, who I want to make friends with or who I want to be, I like silence best. I like yisow better, too. To say which role is the best, I think it is almost impossible to compete. They are all real and successful. "
2. The choice of actors is very particular. This includes idol star actors and acting actors. In the urban emotional drama, the outstanding thing is that the actors are young and bright, and their hairstyles, costumes and makeup are very fashionable and elegant, which gives the audience a pleasing feeling and cultivates a group of idol stars, such as Ahn Jae Wook, Zhang Dongjian, Yuan Bin, Song Seung Heon, Shen Yinhe, Song Huijing and Kim Hee Seon, who hold high the idol banner of Korean drama with their unique charm and form the appeal of the new drama. Moreover, they "not only rely on beautiful appearance and packaging to attract the audience, but also cater to the audience's different aesthetic standards and tastes with different shapes and spirits created by stars." (Fei Yi, 2002) For example, 1M likes to watch The Wonderful Hand in Love, because "Ahn Jae Wook and Kim Hee Seon in the TV series are very famous actors, and they all feel good after reading it." 2F also thinks: "I like to watch Love of Red Bean Woman and Love of Life and Death in Blue, because the actor is good, the actress is beautiful and the actor is handsome." 6F also said that he likes watching Searching for Stars best, because he likes to play the leading actor Zhang Dongjian in it. In the aspect of family life drama, it mainly highlights the acting stars with high performance level. Their tepid and unassuming performances are in place, which makes their roles appear very real. 4F especially appreciates the actors in The Man in the Bathhouse Owner's House, and thinks it is also a good teaching material for acting class. The performance of the characters in it is almost invisible, which is quite good. "In fact, Korean dramas are always inseparable from the background of family life, and even youth romance dramas are not just young people's dramas, such as Searching for Stars, First Love and Four Sisters. If we only rely on idol stars, we can't support the whole sky of Korean dramas.
3. Beautiful music and pictures. Audiences who have seen Korean dramas, whether they realize it or not, admit that their music and pictures are beautiful. This is inseparable from the fact that Korean dramas have spent a lot of effort in production. According to a Korean student, Korean dramas are very particular about background music and picture processing. Although many TV dramas are not shot in tourist attractions, these shooting places often become popular tourist attractions. This has created a new career-choosing a shooting location for TV dramas. Korean dramas are so painstakingly chosen in the shooting background, and there are also people who are responsible for the selection of TV drama music, so it is not surprising that Korean dramas are of high level.
When talking about the music and pictures of Korean dramas, our interviewees all think that "the pictures are beautiful and the music is nice". 1M said: "The pictures of Korean dramas are very clear and beautiful. I still remember the beautiful golden leaves and a beautiful long road in Korean dramas. I think this is mainly related to the beauty of Korean scenery and the superb skills of photographers. The music in Korean dramas is also good. The drama series is very nice, generally tailored for the drama, so it fits the plot very well and can be associated with the content of the TV series after listening. For example, the episodes of' Forever' and' Star in My Heart' in Looking for a Star are like this, which is very touching. "
In the use of the lens, in order to make the plot more realistic, we don't use too many changes, just regard it as the eyes of the audience and objectively and truly record what is happening. Therefore, the audience will forget that they are watching the play, and it is easier to integrate into the plot. 3F appreciates this very much: "The lens is used properly, and there are not many fancy things, so you can hardly notice the existence of the lens. Use music when you should. In the end, you won't remember a few shots, but you will remember the whole play. "
Second, cultural factors.
Culture here refers to "values, beliefs and behavior patterns accumulated by a group of people with the same history, linguistic and nonverbal symbol systems and the same characteristics". (Neuliep, 2000, p. 15) In other words, culture is not innate, but acquired through learning, owned and constructed by all members of society, and has the characteristics of symbol, arbitrariness, patterning and internalization. In cross-cultural communication, the possibility of misunderstanding is different because of the different degrees of cultural differences. The research results of cross-cultural communication show that "the more people are, the less serious setbacks or cultural misinterpretations they encounter in communication." When the cultural differences between members of different cultural groups increase, the possibility of misunderstanding is undoubtedly greater. "(Guan Shijie, 1995, p. 56) That is to say, the smaller the differences between the two cultures, the greater the meaning space of * * *, the less barriers to communication, and the easier it is for each other to have a sense of identity.
The cultural origins of China and Korea can be traced back to ancient times. Due to various reasons such as war and famine, the people of the two countries have been in contact with each other and even migrated from each other since the Warring States Period. Especially in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, immigrants who moved to Korea were handed down from generation to generation, and their descendants continued until the Li Dynasty. In the long-term communication process, Confucian culture, as the mainstream culture in China, has also had a profound impact on Korean culture, "branding its politics, ideology, morality, law, culture, education, customs and social characteristics with Confucianism." (Zheng Chenghong, 2003) Judging from the actual situation of modern Korean society, the ethical standards generally implemented in the current society basically come from Confucianism. In Korean family life, men and fathers still occupy a central position, and marriage is still given orders by parents. Daughter-in-law should serve her in-laws, care about her husband's education and children, and abide by women's morality. Strictly observe the system of mourning for parents for three years. During the three-year mourning period, the eldest son will burn incense in front of his parents' graves every morning and evening, and every anniversary, birthday, Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival will pay homage to the grave to show his memory.
From 19 10 to 1945, Korea was colonized by Japan for 36 years, and there was a fault in its national culture. After World War II, China and South Korea were separated from each other for political reasons, and South Korea was influenced by western culture represented by American culture, which was thirty or forty years earlier than China. However, while South Korea has achieved rapid economic development, people's values, ways of thinking and behavior patterns are still deeply influenced by traditional Confucianism. In fact, Korean contemporary culture is the result of the integration of eastern and western cultures. However, China culture experienced various political movements in the 20th century, and the traditional Confucian culture became less and less, but it was not as good as South Korea.
Art is a reflection of life, while Korean dramas reflect the lives of Koreans, their values, beliefs and behavior patterns, which are very easy for China audiences to understand and accept. With more and more contacts between China and the western world, the western cultural elements in Korean culture are becoming more and more familiar to China people, and there is no strong sense of strangeness. At the same time, some excellent cultural traditions lost by China have been well preserved in South Korea, which has also aroused the envy and reflection of China audience, especially the older generation audience. In addition, Koreans and China people are East Asians with black eyes, black hair and yellow skin, and their names are almost the same. Therefore, compared with TV dramas in other countries, especially in western countries, there are almost no cultural barriers for China audiences to watch Korean dramas, which is also a crucial reason why Korean dramas can become popular in China.
When talking about the feelings of Korean culture when watching Korean dramas, 5F said: "First of all, people look alike, have the same names as China people, and their values are very close to ours. The gap is not big, easy to accept and interesting. Moreover, many things that we China people have lost are still being maintained, and I feel very cordial. " 6F was deeply impressed by the Korean etiquette in the play: "I appreciate the civilized and polite things in the play, but we are too short of them in China now. 3F especially envies the life of several generations living under the same roof in the play. This reminds me of my own life. I don't think my parents are very old, and I don't think I am very old. Now I want to live with them. " 1M appreciates the tradition of respecting the elderly in South Korea: "Although the contents of TV dramas are trivial matters in the family, we can also see the respect of Koreans for the elderly, such as saying hello to grandparents after children come home. This is a good etiquette, and our families in China generally don't care much about it. I have seen this scene in Korean dramas, and I feel very good. I think this moral concept is also needed in families in China, so we should learn the etiquette in Korean families. "
When asked which Korean dramas he likes better than western ones, 4F said, "I still like watching Korean dramas. Western drama is too far away from us. For example, "feud between the giants" won't cause such a big noise after reading it, just watch it with a bystander's mentality. But Korean dramas are different and very close to Korean culture. " 3F also holds the same view: "If Korean dramas and western dramas are on the same level, I prefer watching Korean dramas. Because I feel too far away from myself when I watch western dramas, no matter how good or bad it is, it belongs to others. Life in Korean dramas is closer to China and more meaningful to us. Watching western life dramas is largely just watching the excitement, and there is no personal feeling. We hardly encounter their problems, and they don't even understand ours. There are differences between Chinese and Korean cultures, but the roots are the same. We are obviously not as good as others, and we especially need to learn from South Korea. " When talking about the influence of cultural differences on viewing behavior, she thinks: "Strange places are attractive places, and familiar places make me feel particularly easy to accept. The gap between western cultures is greater, but it is not so attractive (to me). Maybe the gap is too big and then I feel that it has nothing to do with myself. Korean culture is just between complete familiarity and complete strangeness. " But 2F and 5F think that Korean dramas and western dramas will be watched as long as they look good. 5F said, "I think the lifestyle and communication style of westerners are very similar (to China), both of them are very similar. Sometimes the values are the same and the touching things are similar. "
Third, economic factors.
People always yearn for a happy and prosperous life. Korea is known as one of the "Four Little Dragons in Asia", with an early economic start and a relatively high living standard. Korean dramas present the life of the Korean people to the audience in China and satisfy the curiosity of the audience in China. At the same time, the peaceful and idealized plot in the play is envied by ordinary China audiences and provides them with a kind of psychological comfort. 6F This is the mentality of watching Korean dramas. She said: "Our life has not reached such a high level. Watching others live so rich and romantic is really envious, and it can make up for the shortcomings in real life. " 3F also thinks that his liking for Korean dramas is related to the high level of economic development in South Korea: "If Koreans have a poor life, or I don't admire them, I won't be interested in watching their TV dramas. If China's economy is stronger and its political life is more democratic, "China TV Series" will have more and more markets. " She also believes: "Their lives are much better than ours. The play is still idealistic. For example, Eun-kyung doesn't have to work, and Yin-kyung doesn't have to work. At least she has a house to live in. Hao Jun, the mute boyfriend, is rich, but he is not corrupted by money, which is rare. As a man in his thirties, he is so successful that he can still maintain that persistence in love. It is very rare that he never condescends easily until he finds his beloved, which is the ideal. Therefore, when I watched the TV series and faced my life, I felt that it was still a TV series after all and could not solve the real problems in life. " In addition, with the rapid economic development in China, the values of China people are quietly changing. Korean dramas provide a learning model for China audiences, from which China audiences can see their future life. For example, the Korean family model of "the man is the master and the woman is the master" is recognized by more and more women in China. "I think China will make more progress in this respect. Because women will spare more time to take care of their families and children, people's quality of life will be greatly improved. Women in China have to run their businesses and take care of their families, so they live a hard life. Korean women will sympathize with China women. Really, busy women are doomed to be exquisite, so I think Second Aunt is the cutest. She has good economic conditions and doesn't have to go out to work, so she always dresses herself up very exquisitely. " (4F) "The women in the play are all supported by their husbands, but we women in China are superior to women and need to work hard on our own. To a great extent, we also bear the obligations of old women (housework), and we also bear the burden of new women's independence. Comparatively speaking, I prefer the life of Korean women. The best solution is that you can choose to stay at home or go out, but you won't worry about your life and won't be considered special. And we have little choice. " (3F) Korean dramas also provide reference for China people to promote economic and social development. The Korean people's indomitable spirit of struggle and their attitude towards life, which attaches importance to family and friendship, have moved the audience in China very much and are worth learning from China. 5F thinks: "Korea is of great significance to China. Because Koreans, like us, are all Asians. They have experienced years of colonization and years of war, but they have made much progress than us. We need to know what courses we need to make up, or what efforts we should make in the process of modernization. Take South Korea as a mirror to show what China looks like after its economic development. "
Fourthly, China lacks masterpieces reflecting modern urban life.
Another reason why China audiences like Korean dramas is that China lacks excellent TV dramas with similar themes. Some historical plays of China are very successful, such as Yongzheng Dynasty, Kangxi Dynasty and Long March. However, the urban love drama and family life drama that reflect real life are far from each other. The rapid development of China's economy has accelerated the pace of life and aggravated the psychological pressure of China people, especially their longing for a warm and romantic family life. In recent years, in addition to all kinds of historical dramas that wear robes and mandarin jackets to stay in big braid, China's screen is full of commercial war dramas and police dramas that integrate various plots, murders and pornography. After reading them, I feel that life is too insecure. Sitcom only pays attention to making people laugh and lacks the depth it deserves. There are few TV dramas that reflect family love, and there are many artificial things, which are not as close to life as Korean dramas, so pure. All the interviewees think that one of the reasons why they like Korean dramas is the lack of excellent TV dramas with similar themes in China, and they also point out the problems existing in the TV drama market in China at present.
4F especially likes the light comedy The Man in the Bathhouse Owner's Home, which reflects family life, and thinks that there is no such good work in China now. "Now there is no such TV series in China. It's all a joke, and the two ends are irrelevant. What sitcoms like "Idle Man Ma Dajie" are all exaggerated and dramatic performances, while the performances in Korean dramas are invisible and make you feel very lively. I originally thought that "Empty Mirror" was quite life-oriented, but it was still not as good as others. " When it comes to characterization, she thinks that the key to the success of Korean dramas is that the characters come one by one, and whatever this character says, this character will say. Unlike China's TV series, the characters in it can't stand it, and you don't want to listen to it. 1M also thinks: "The characters in Korean dramas are more masculine, more normal and more straightforward, much better than those in China dramas. "
5F compares the themes of Korean TV dramas and China TV dramas. She thinks that the themes of Korean dramas just meet the psychological needs of China audiences: "Another thing that people like most about Korean dramas is that they are always full of a special feeling of sunshine and tenderness. Unlike some China movies, they are so sensational that you feel uncomfortable, and some are so ugly that you don't want to see them. Now the anti-corruption detection broadcast every day makes you feel that the world is terrible, and justice is so reluctant to defeat evil. It is better to look at the family and beautiful life in Korea. As long as you are a person, you will yearn for a happy family, a happy love and a happy marriage. I think these things are mainly to meet the psychological needs of the audience. This is related to the current economic and social situation in China. China's current TV series is so cruel that it doesn't write friendship, love and affection to the extreme. Even if there is, it is not well written. It may be that China people are under great pressure in life and psychology at present and need these warm things. "
1M also points out the reason why China TV series can't make the audience feel warm: "If you create such a TV series with China as the background, there will be many problems, the first is the source of funds. For example, the second son (in "The Man in the Bathhouse Owner's House") is the branch manager. In China TV dramas, there is either corruption or many women, which is definitely not the image in Korean TV dramas. "
Verb (abbreviation of verb) Other reasons
In addition to the above four main reasons, there are also factors such as national feelings and translation level. 1M mentioned this point: "Compared with South Korea, China has no historical entanglements and no antipathy." 4F thinks that the popularity of Korean dramas in China is inseparable from their high-level translation and dubbing: "There is another important reason that" The Man in the Bathhouse Owner's Home "is better than other Korean dramas because its dubbing is particularly good." No matter how close the cultures of China and South Korea are, translating Korean dramas into Chinese dubbing is a cross-language and cross-cultural communication, and it is necessary to overcome the language and cultural barriers in translation. Chinese dubbing should also conform to the style of the original drama and conform to each other.
