Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, is a full-time undergraduate art college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school has been rated as the national college students' cultural quality education base, the red classic art education demonstration base in colleges and universities, and the China literature and art public opinion information research base of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

The school's predecessor was Lu Xun Art Institute, which was founded in Yan 'an 1938 and founded by Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai. 1945, Lu Yi moved to Yanan in the northeast. 1958 developed into Luxun Academy of Fine Arts.

As of July 2006, the school has two campuses, Shenyang and Dalian, with a total campus area of 957,662.94 square meters, a library building area of 10887 square meters and a collection of 592,073 books. There are 12 teaching units in Shenyang Campus and 7 teaching units in Dalian Campus, offering 14 undergraduate majors. There are 856 teachers and 7967 students, including 7 135 undergraduates, 507 postgraduates and 20 international students.
