First, Abahai, Dourgen's mother, was probably buried with Nurhachi under the coercion of Huang Taiji, Dai Shan and others. Huang taiji, Dai Shan and others did this because they were actually afraid that Dourgen would be emperor, so they reflected Dourgen's desire to be emperor from the side.

Does Dourgen have the ability to be an emperor? The answer is also yes.

First, during the reign of Dourgen, through the martial arts of Wenzhi, he made his capital in the Central Plains, eradicated the remaining peasant army, and almost achieved national reunification, which gave him great prestige.

Moreover, in terms of address, he is constantly moving closer to the emperor. For example, from the former "Nine Princes" to "Uncle Regent" and then to "Father Regent". In addition, historical records show that when he arrived, "people who used etiquette, music and obedience arrogated supremacy." These are all manifestations of the road to the emperor. However, Dourgen unfortunately fell from his horse and died, and his final wish was not realized.

Second, Xiao Zhuang, Dourgen's mother, was afraid of Shunzhi, and worried about winning the position. There are many legends about Dourgen and Xiaozhuang in history, and there is even a saying that Xiaozhuang married Dourgen. What these legends reveal is actually the coordination ability of small and strong people. Shunzhi is young and weak.
