On the way from Dali to Lijiang, there is a small place, which is simply a paradise for photography!

A few years ago, on the way to Lijiang by bus, I passed a county in Dali, and the scenery was beautiful and impressive. This place is called Heqing County.

it is located in the northwest of Yunnan province, at the southern end of Hengduan Mountains in western Yunnan, east of Yunling Mountains, and at the northern end of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture. It has beautiful scenery all year round and is well worth visiting. Local specialties such as Heqing ham, pork liver, air-dried tenderloin and Heqing dry wine are not to be missed.

Heqing Caohai

Heqing Caohai is a veritable highland water town, which is located in Heqing Bazi. Because there are many pools and springs at the east and west foothills of Bazi and the water system of Yanggongjiang River basin keeps flowing, a natural caohai wetland with wide water area has been formed in Heqing Bazi. Caohai Wetland is named after its shallow water, and every autumn villagers support wooden boats to fish for aquatic plants and accumulate fertilizer in the sea.

Caohai is divided into North Sea, China Sea, South China Sea and East China Sea, with the maximum water depth of 2.6 meters and the average water depth of 1.6 meters. Caohai waters are connected with Yanggong River through streams, ditches and fields, with rivers and canals criss-crossing and wooden boats coming and going, which is quite like the scenery of Jiangnan water town.

Huanglongtan

Huanglongtan is not big, but it is a street park, but it is beautiful. The scenery is very unique. A cement slab road twists and turns into the water, and there are veritable water willows on both sides. They are of different shapes and have quite a character. They are ancient trees left behind when water conservancy was built in the Ming Dynasty and took root in the water.

Shi Baoshan

Shi Baoshan is a Danxia landform, with unique peaks and rocks formed by spherical aeolian fossils, including Shi Zhongshan Grottoes, Daoguan Baoxiang Temple, Jinding Temple, Haiyunju Temple and Shizhong Reservoir. Every year, from July 27th to 29th of the lunar calendar, Shi Baoshan will hold a song party, which is very lively.

Yindu Water Town

Xinhua Village of Yindu Water Town is built according to the original ecological natural village. It is located in the northwest of Dali Prefecture, on the golden tourist route from Dali to Shangri-La, 126 kilometers away from the ancient city of Dali, 39 kilometers away from Old Town of Lijiang and only 12 kilometers away from Lijiang International Airport, with convenient transportation.

border ancient village

Yunnan border ancient village is located 12 kilometers south of Heqing, Dali. It has unique architecture, strange scenery, winding paths but secluded places, and beautiful scenery but not charming. There are a group of frontier people who are almost forgotten by the secular world. It is said that these frontier people used to live on the border between China and Myanmar, have no nationality, and live a primitive life. They cover themselves with leaves, eat cold food and live in trees.

West Slope

In March, the spring breeze blew a large area of rhododendron (Oriental cherry) in full bloom on the west slope of Cangshan Mountain. After a long and dangerous driving, when you were under the rhododendron in the "big garden", you looked at the snow under the peak and marveled at the romantic side of Cangshan Mountain. Climb up along the path through the forest, and you can enjoy the rhododendrons with different tree shapes. The colors are mostly bright red and reddish, and then go higher, gradually white flowers and a few yellow flowers.

In May, you can also come and see the sea of flowers in Heqing, which is very spectacular.
