Sedum is a perennial herb with a height of 30 ~ 80 cm.
Stems erect, unbranched, solitary or clustered. Simple leaves alternate, with thick leaves, oblanceolate, 5 ~ 8 cm long and 1 ~ 2 cm wide, with tapered apex, wedge-shaped base, serrated edges and few stems. Cymes are corymbose and terminal; Sepals 5, green, linear-lanceolate, unequal in length, 3 ~ 5 mm long, with blunt tip; 5 petals, yellow, oval-lanceolate, 6 ~ 10 mm long; Stamens 10, shorter than petals; Carpels 5, oval-oblong, connate at the base, with saccular protrusions on the ventral surface. Follicles 5, extending outward at maturity, are arranged in a star shape. The flowering period is from June to August. The fruiting period is from July to September.
