Third, learn from Comrade Zhu De's mother's virtues of diligence, thrift, generosity and perseverance, and realize the author's thoughts and love for her mother.
Teaching assumption
First, let students understand that Comrade Zhu De's lofty quality and revolutionary spirit are inseparable from his mother's education, influence and edification. This is an ordinary and great mother.
Second, learn to use simple and plain language, choose appropriate materials to praise the mother's "hardworking life" and express the author's deep and sincere feelings. Deeply understand the content and function of the last four paragraphs of the article. These should be made clear as the key points.
Thirdly, most of the things described in the article are trivial matters, involving some social phenomena in history, which students are not familiar with. To organize materials in chronological order, the concept of "time" must be clear and not vague. Students must understand these difficulties.
Fourth, the main teaching methods are questioning, guidance, analysis, discussion and summary. Audio-visual education can be used appropriately. If the article narrates the mother's experience in chronological order and shows her excellent quality, we can make a list, draw it on film, use a projector, and analyze the method of typing out relevant content items while explaining, so as to gradually give students an understanding of the ideas and let them better grasp the main contents of the full text.

We studied Dinner on the Grass by Comrade Liu Jian. Who are the narrative characters? (Student: Comrade Zhu De). What lofty qualities and revolutionary spirit did the article praise Comrade Zhu De? (Students answer: hard work and plain living, perseverance, leading by example, approachable, caring for soldiers, sharing weal and woe with soldiers, being loyal to the revolutionary cause, etc. The cultivation of these lofty qualities and revolutionary spirit of Comrade Zhu De is inseparable from his acceptance of Marxism-Leninism, his devotion to China and his long-term revolutionary practice, but it is also inseparable from the education, influence and edification of his mother, Mrs. Zhong Tai. Loyal, kind, tenacious, with clear love and hate, he has always supported his son to join the revolutionary cause. She worked hard all her life, lived in the world for 86 spring and autumn, and died in 1944. Comrade Zhu De wrote this simple and touching narrative prose in order to express his thoughts and love for his mother after her death in 1944.

3. Understand the narrative order of the article and the division of paragraph levels.
Third, study the text.
1. What is a memoir?
Students write reference books and discuss.
Clarity: Memoirs mainly belong to narrative genre, which organizes some materials that the author can describe the character and express a theme of the recalled person, and gives appropriate lyrics and comments.
2. What rich feelings does the article contain for the author's mother?
Students' comments include "love", "respect", "mourning", "nostalgia", "nostalgia", "praise" and "thanks".
The teacher affirmed the students' point of view and further put forward: what kind of emotion is the keynote of the full text?
Students discuss and the teacher concludes that "love" is the basic emotion, which runs through the whole text. With deep love for her mother, the author mourned her, respected her, praised her, thanked her and sang a deep hymn for her.
3. How many parts can this article be divided into? There are 17 paragraphs in the full text. Which paragraph begins to recall the past and ends? Summarize the general idea of each part in accurate and concise language.
Students discuss and teachers summarize: The full text can be divided into three parts. The first part (1 paragraph) expresses grief and evokes memories of my mother's hard life. Recall the past from the second paragraph to the end of 15. This is the second part of the article. I described in detail the main deeds of my mother's hard life, praised her virtue and thanked her for her upbringing. In the third part (paragraphs 16 and 17), the author mourns his mother deeply and expresses his determination.
(Some students may have objections to this division, mainly in paragraphs 14 and 15. Put it aside for the time being and wait until the specific paragraph level to study and discuss. )
4. Learn the first part of the text.
Please read this part aloud or completely. Ask questions, think and discuss: How many sentences are written in this paragraph? How do you express the author's feelings? What role does this play in the full text?
The students answered, and the teacher summed it up clearly: I wrote two sentences. The first sentence explains the reason for writing. The second sentence "I love my mother" sets the emotional tone of the full text; I recalled many past events after my mother's death, which all reflected my mother's "hard life" and became the clue of the full-text narrative, and at the same time, it was "worth remembering forever", thus clarifying the theme. This part is the general introduction of the full text, with the word "hardworking" as the general introduction. The author's love and sadness are all due to her mother's hard work and life worth remembering and praising. (Contact the definition of previous memoirs)
The blackboard reads: Mourn for the death of her mother, which brings back memories of her hard life.
5. Learn the second part of the text.
Let the students read this part, think and answer:
(1) What does the author recall about his mother?
The student answered, and the teacher clearly concluded that he recalled his mother's two points: first, the habit of thrift and generosity (paragraphs 2-7); First, the mother's unyielding character, her resistance to the oppressors, and her support and encouragement to the author's participation in the revolution (paragraph 8- 13). Paragraphs 14 and 15 are mainly narrative, summarizing the education and influence of mothers on themselves.
(2) The first aspect can be classified as the first level of the second part. What's the mother's story here? What did you say about your mother?
The students answered, and the teacher made it clear and summed it up: in the second and third paragraphs, the situation of "poor family" was described first, and the mother's "time was occupied by housework and farm work" Paragraphs 4 and 5 say "Mother is a good worker", she can do anything and "work all day". The sixth paragraph says that mother is "smart and capable" and thrifty. In the seventh paragraph, I wrote that my mother "works hard and complains", gets along well with her family, sympathizes with and takes care of her poorer relatives. Guide students to make full use of the language materials in the text, and grasp the key words, words and sentences in the text to answer questions. )
Through such ordinary things, the author praised her mother's virtue of diligence, generosity and kindness.
(3) The author not only praised the virtues of mothers, but also expressed their education and influence by means of discussion and lyricism, or directly expressed their feelings. Please find such a sentence, appreciate it carefully and explain its function.
The students answered, and the teacher clearly summarized: For example, paragraph 7 "She is frugal ... and left a deep impression" is a discussion; The third paragraph "This is a helpless thing in my mother's heart!" It is lyrical. This kind of discussion and lyricism on the basis of narration can further deepen the content of narration, better reveal the inner meaning of what is written, express the author's feelings and praise the noble quality of mother.
The first meaning of writing on the blackboard (paragraphs 2-7): writing about the noble quality of mother's thrift, generosity and kindness.
(4) The second aspect can be classified as the second level of the second part. Mainly to write that mother has simple class consciousness, rebellious spirit and sympathy and support for the revolution. What does the author use to illustrate?
Teacher's Tip: I mainly wrote four things. Please review paragraphs 8 to 15 after class and consider this problem.
Fourth, homework

1.8— 13, which four things were written in chronological order?
The students answered, and the teacher summed up the main points: First, in B year (1895), the landlord forced the tenant to cancel the lease, and the family suffered the "most tragic experience". In the face of disaster, my mother didn't flinch, not only didn't lose heart, but strengthened "her sympathy for poor farmers and her disgust for rich and heartless people". The second thing that "inspired" was that around the year of Gengzi (1900), the hungry people in Sichuan ate "large families", and the spontaneous resistance of farmers was brutally suppressed by "officers and men" in the dark society. "My family has also encountered more difficulties." (These two events are written in paragraph 8, but they are not separated, and the time sequence is reversed. Students should pay attention. The third thing, 1905, is to "support the door" and save money to send children to school. The fourth thing is that in 1908, I publicized my son's scientific and democratic thoughts and devoted myself to the revolutionary cause. Not only did I not object, but I also gave him a lot of "comfort". (These two events are written in paragraph 9 and 10 respectively. )
Through the narration of the above four events, it fully shows the mother's strong and unyielding character, simple class consciousness, sympathy for the working people, resistance to the oppressors and support for her son's revolutionary cause.
2. After writing the above four things, the author further recalled some things after her mother left her mother, joined the revolution and joined * * *. Please read paragraphs 1 1 and 12. Thinking: What else did you write? What kind of spiritual quality does it show to mother? How does the author feel?
The students answered, and the teacher concluded: In paragraph 1 1, the author took his mother out in 2009, but because he was used to working, he was uncomfortable leaving the land and went home to continue working. Praise mother's noble quality of loving labor. Paragraph 12 points out that the mother actively supports her son's revolutionary cause. 1927 when the great revolution suffered setbacks and difficulties, in order to support her son's revolution, she "independently supported the life of the family"; When she knew the difficulties of our party, she "lived a hard peasant life at home". She supported her son's revolution with practical actions and inspired his revolutionary fighting spirit. "I look forward to the success of the liberation of the Chinese nation." This fully embodies the noble quality of mother's support for revolution and putting revolutionary interests first. In this regard, the author deeply respects and will never forget it. Two "always miss", the love between mother and child is touching. When I heard that my mother wanted to see the author, but she failed to do so, the author couldn't help but feel great sadness and wrote affectionately: "But I have devoted myself to the cause of the national war of resistance against Japan, but I have failed to repay my mother's hope." The word "respect" has profound implications, which not only embodies the author's lofty quality of focusing on the interests of the party, revolution, country and nation, but also expresses his infinite grief and nostalgia for his mother.
3. Ask the students to read the paragraph aloud 13. Think about what this narrative emphasizes. Explain what? What is the role in the full text?
The students replied that the teacher concluded that "mother's greatest feature is that she has never been unemployed" and "worked nonstop until her later years (1944), especially like spinning cotton". It is really a "hard life". This virtue of hard work and hard work on the mother is a concentrated expression of the virtues of the vast number of working women in the Chinese nation. Therefore, the author's praise for his mother is also a praise for millions of working women in China. The function of this writing method not only takes care of the previous article, but also deepens the theme of the article and highlights the center of the article. Please read this part carefully and experience the author's simple, concise and plain language.
The second meaning of writing on the blackboard (paragraph 8- 13) is to write about the mother's strong and unyielding character and the spirit of resisting oppression and supporting the revolution.
4. The time span of narrative cases at this level is very large (from 1895 to 1944 for nearly half a century), but the content is not loose. In chronological order, closely around the mother's hard-working character and its influence on the author, the typical materials are selected and organized in an orderly manner, so that the details are appropriate and the center is clear. Students can carefully understand this narrative method and writing skills according to the above research and analysis.
5. Students read paragraphs 14 and 15 individually or collectively (that is, the second part of the third level). Thinking: The author sincerely thanks her mother for raising her kindness. From what aspects did she write? What are the characteristics of paragraph structure?
The students replied that the teacher summed it up in two aspects: first, I thanked my mother for "teaching me the experience of struggling with difficulties" and "giving me a strong body and diligent habits"; The second is to "teach me the knowledge of production and the will of revolution" and "encourage me to embark on the road of revolution in the future". What the mother left her son is indeed the most precious property in the world. The author deeply realized its value and wrote his own affection, thus expressing his heartfelt thanks to his mother. In this regard, students should be guided to carefully understand the profound reasons for thanking their mothers. The structural form is characterized by the use of parallel sections.
The third meaning of writing on the blackboard (paragraphs 14 and 15): I sincerely thank my mother for her parenting.
6. Some students think that the classification of paragraphs 14 and 15 is inappropriate, and most students agree. Let the students discuss and talk about their reasons separately. (hint: you can consider the content and writing. )
Students discuss, answer, teacher summarize and supplement: From the content, these two paragraphs thank the mother, which are the summary of the contents described in paragraphs 2 to 13. Judging from the structure of the article, these two paragraphs have a general effect on the second part of the article, but they are not compact with the first part. However, paragraphs 16 and 17 (the third part) are closely related to paragraphs 1 (the first part). If these two paragraphs are classified into the third part, the structure will appear loose and the pulse will not be smooth. From the writing point of view, these two paragraphs of exposition and lyricism are carried out on the basis of the previous narration. If it is divorced from the content described above, the complementary role of narration and discussion will be weakened, thus affecting the accurate expression of the content of the article.
The second part of the blackboard (paragraph 2- 15) means to describe the main deeds of my mother's life, praise her noble virtues and thank her for her parenting.
Third, study the third part of the text.
Let the students read this part with emotion. Thinking: (1) How to understand the meaning of "this sadness is irreparable"? (2) How to understand the meaning of the sentence "Mother is an ordinary person, … created the history of China"? (3) How does the author combine his love for his mother with his love for the people and his loyalty to the revolutionary cause? What profound enlightenment does this give us?
Students discuss and answer, and the teacher concludes: (1) once again expresses the author's deep sadness and sincere feelings for his mother's infinite love. (2) It is said that "mother is an ordinary person" because her mother is an ordinary member of thousands of workers in Qian Qian. It is millions of ordinary workers with lofty virtues like their mothers who have created (past) and (present and future) the material wealth and spiritual civilization of human history. Mothers are great, and so are working people. The author sublimates his love for his mother to the height of loving our nation and people and being infinitely loyal to the party and people. The author sublimates his feelings of praising his mother to a lofty realm that is completely integrated with the feelings of praising the working people, thus further deepening the theme of the article. This is a compound sentence with a turning relationship to emphasize the significance of the above aspects. (3) The author uses the question "What methods can I use to repay my mother's kindness?" It is thought-provoking, leading the love for mother to the love and loyalty for the people and the revolutionary cause, and organically combining the two. To love your mother, you must be loyal to your own nation and people and to the cause of the party. "Let those who live with your mother live a happy life." Only in this way can we repay our mother's kindness and love her. To this end, the author is determined to "do it" and firmly believes that "it will be done". The profound enlightenment of this passage is that we should seriously study, inherit and carry forward the lofty thought of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries to liberate the working people of the world, the spirit of hard work and simplicity, a broad and selfless mind and a firm revolutionary will, and strive for the great cause of the "four modernizations" of the motherland.
Students read the third part together with emotion.
The meaning of the third part of the blackboard (paragraphs 16 and 17) is to deeply mourn the mother and express the author's loyalty to the party and the people in return for her deep affection.
Fourth, review the full text.
1. Guide students to summarize and write the central idea of this article according to the meaning of paragraph level.
2. Further understand the characteristics of this article, such as accurate selection of materials, proper arrangement, simple language and sincere feelings.
Fifth, assign homework.
Recite the last two paragraphs.
2. Do some questions in question 6.
