Shaanzhou Dikengyuan Prose
The night before yesterday, the family drove to Dikengyuan to look at the lights. Before they got there, they saw cars parked on the roadside. This was because the car owners were afraid that there would be no parking space. We continued to move forward, and there was a steady stream of people. Some of them had already walked out of the Dikeng Yard. These were the people who came early. The huge parking lot is almost full, and there is another parking lot to the north that is about to be built. Our car was parked more than a mile away from Dikengyuan. When we walked to the entrance of Dikengyuan, a long line of people had already formed. This is our second time here.
"You can't see the village when you see the trees, you can't see the house when you enter the village, you can't see the door when you enter the house, you can't hear the people." These sentences are a true portrayal of Dikengyuan. The construction of the underground pit courtyard is unique, with pits dug downwards and holes dug into the four walls, integrating with the earth. The upper and lower courtyards are lined with green trees, the inside and outside of the kiln are arranged in an orderly manner, and the winding paths lead to secluded areas. It is natural, practical, and Beautiful and sturdy, it is a model of ecological architecture and a national cultural relic protection unit.
There are a total of twenty-two pit courtyards here. For the convenience of visitors, the twenty-two courtyards are the same. I heard from people here that the construction of this pit courtyard is very particular. "Mountains have veins, water has flow directions, and soil has layers." The construction of a pit courtyard must be integrated with the mountains, water potential, and earth atmosphere, and the orientation must be determined based on the Five Elements and Bagua and the owner's fortune. This is the basis of Feng Shui, architecture, and humanities. The wonderful combination is a realistic embodiment of the traditional philosophical thought of "the unity of nature and man". Xiangyuan, square courtyard, lower courtyard, kilns, greening... all have strict orientation, size, quantity requirements and taboos; the functional settings of the cave dwellings, drinking water, and drainage all have scientific and reasonable layout rules. The pit courtyard construction techniques have been included in the national intangible cultural heritage protection list.
Walking in from the No. 1 courtyard, the courtyards are interlocking with each other, all in the form of a courtyard. "Go down to the yard, hoop the kiln, marry a wife, and sit on the kang." This is a folk song spread in the Shaanxi plateau, and it is also the dream of countless farmers. People on the Loess Plateau have stable homes with Dikengyuan. Men farm and dig food on the loess land, while women take care of housework in the Dikengyuan, giving birth to children, weddings and funerals, spinning and weaving, and embroidery. Paper-cutting... has gradually formed the lifestyle and folk customs of Dikengyuan, and is also the creative base of the Chinese Art Photography Society.
"They are all made of earth and mountains, and there are many cave dwellings." Judging from the records of Shaanzhou folk houses in historical books, the unique loess layer of the Shaanxi Plateau provides unique conditions for the construction of pit courtyards.
After reading the introduction, I learned that Dikengyuan is a wonderful example of Chinese farmers’ earthen architecture, an eternal village under the horizon. Dikengyuan, the oldest and most peculiar residential building in human history, is famous both at home and abroad as Qipu Town.
The philosophical concept of the harmony of heaven and earth, the coexistence of circles and circles, and the unity of heaven and man. More than 4,000 years ago, the ancestors of the Shaanxi Plateau followed the Taoism of nature, followed the Eight Diagrams, and integrated the heaven, earth, water, and earth into one. They dug holes in the flat ground on the loess plateau, dug holes in the walls, and lived in the holes. The times multiplied and the fire was passed down from generation to generation. , formed an "ancient village under the horizon" and created a "living fossil of human cave dwelling".
Shaanzhou Dikengyuan Scenic Area is located in Shaanzhou District, Sanmenxia City, the Pearl of the Yellow River and the City of Swans. It mainly consists of the Folk Culture Park, Baiwei Lane, Baiyi Garden, Yiyuan Cave Hotel, and Ecological Sightseeing Park. It is large in scale. , the landscape is unique. Dikengyuan is a good place for sightseeing, vacation and leisure.
