Jiaozuo Yuntai Mountain Travel Guide; Yuntai Mountain Two-Day Tour Guide

2021 Travel Guide to Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area in Jiaozuo, Henan. Recently, many tourists who want to go to Yuntai Mountain will ask this topic. Everyone's feelings are different, but their understanding is the same. You can feel different styles here. Here, I share the specific ticket prices.

Under the guidance of the tour guide, we began to visit the core scenic spot of Yuntai Mountain - Hongshi Gorge. This is the most beautiful scenic spot in Yuntai Mountain and belongs to the unique Danxia landform. The exposed rock cliffs are all red. The deep canyons formed by water bodies over thousands of years are paired with strange-shaped waterfalls. The scenery is quiet and the flowing water and flying rocks fully demonstrate the uncanny craftsmanship of nature.

The red canyon is 1,500 meters long, 5-20 meters wide, and nearly 100 meters high. The canyon is tens of meters deep and has a zigzag shape.

This red stone theme monument has a history of 1.0-140 million years. The wave pattern behind the monument is engraved with the blending of water and stone at that time, witnessing the magic of nature through water droplets and stones.

Follow the ladder and enter the canyon. The cliffs of the canyon are steep, cool and humid. Walking in the canyon requires bending, stooping or walking sideways from time to time, which is incredibly dangerous. Hongxia is said to be a geological relic caused by the crustal movement 1.4 billion years ago. It is called "a reduced landscape world and an enlarged artistic bonsai".

Ancient Beach - The red seasonal sandstone under our feet is more than 150 meters thick and was formed in a coastal beach environment about 1.2 billion years ago. As the sea level rose and fell at that time, this area sometimes sank to the seafloor and sometimes emerged from the sea surface, forming the coastal group, aeolian dune group and intertidal zone group, leaving cross-bedding, wave marks, mud cracks, etc. in the rocks. Rich sedimentary structural remains. The red color in sandstone is caused by the oxidation of iron. Due to the uneven iron content, the sandstone has different tones, forming a variety of beautiful patterns.

In Hongshixia, you can see rocks of various geological ages, from limestone 400 million years ago to quartzite 1 billion years ago. Walking on the plank road in the valley, looking up, there are cliffs on both sides, intertwined with canines. The entire path is a one-way street, and only two people can pass at the narrowest point.

A line of sky, here the stream cuts the mountain, the torrent drops, the cliff is towering, Cui Wei confronts each other, and there is only a line of sky and earth between the two mountains.

All adjectives pale in comparison to the miraculous craftsmanship of nature. They convey the beauty of the canyon better than photos can.

Introduction to stalactites: The stalactites here are formed by the sufficient water from Wenpanyu Mountain permeating vertically along the limestone, dissolving, and then being adsorbed on the rock wall at the cracks of the quartzite by an aqueous solution containing calcium carbonate, and deposited over a long period of time. . Because there is no sunlight all day long and the calcium is excellent, today's white and crystal stalactites are formed.

At 2:17, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to walk to Huanglong Waterfall. Huanglong Waterfall, a silver-white water body pouring down from the top of the valley, is graceful and luxurious. The sound of the waterfall is like a torrential rain, weeping and complaining, it is very spectacular. If you get close to the waterfall, you will get splashed with water.

Zifang Lake

It takes more than 20 minutes to walk up the steps. Arrive at the exit at 12:37, which is Zifang Lake.

Ovarian Lake is an artificial lake cut along a deep canyon. It is named because it is said that Zhang Liang, a famous figure in the Han Dynasty, once lived in seclusion here. The lake is 200 meters wide from east to west, about 4,000 meters long from north to south, with a maximum water depth of 65 meters and a storage capacity of 12 million cubic meters. It hangs high at the end of Red Rock Gorge. The karst peaks on both sides of the lake complement each other, and their movement and movement are changing. There are many scenes.

Xiaozhaigou: Tanpu Gorge, Quanpu Gorge, Macaque Valley.

After visiting Zifang Lake, take a bus to the next attraction, Xiaozhaigou. Xiaozhaigou contains three scenic spots: Tanpu Gorge, Quanpu Gorge and Macaque Valley.

According to legend, Xiaozhaigou was the camping ground of Liu Wuzhou, the hero of the peasant uprising in the late Sui Dynasty, and Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty. It is about 2 kilometers long, with mountains on the opposite side and a valley in the middle. The stone stands at the bottom of the valley, and the stream is trickling; every three steps, there is a spring, and every five steps, there is a pool. It is known as the "Tan Waterfall River". The valley is mild in spring and winter and cool in summer and autumn. It is also called "Changchun Valley". The most spectacular one is the Y waterfall pool, which is more than 20 meters high and connected up and down to form a "Y" shape. The water under the waterfall forms a pool, emerald green, covering an area of ??more than 100 square meters. There is plenty of space for entertaining around the pool. There are also water features such as water curtain cave, phoenix-flavored beads, white snake coming out of the cave, divine turtle spitting beads, and black dragon spraying water. At the end of the ditch, there are cliffs all around. Looking up at the green jade, it feels like sitting in a well and looking at the sky. In the gully and depression, the spring water gathered into a shallow lake, which is said to be Li Shimin's horse drinking pool. There are many strange stones in the park, such as butterfly stone, sword stone, dianjiang platform and stone boat.

Tampu Canyon

Waterfall Gorge is the main representative of Yuntai Mountain Canyon, with beautiful scenery, just like Jiangnan. "Three steps, one spring, five steps, one waterfall, ten steps, one pool" is a true portrayal of the beautiful scenery of Tanpo Gorge. The 1,270-meter-long ditch extends from north to south. In the winding ditch, there is a small stream. Its stream bed is composed of layers of natural stone steps with different heights, colors, widths, twists and shapes.

The stream gurgled, the water trickled down, and the rapids converged, either pouring or falling into the silver waterfall. The water under the waterfall turned into a colorful pool.

The big stone is shaped like a peach, with a big "Longevity" written on it. "The word is - longevity stone."

Lovers Falls. A set of waterfalls falls from high rocks. The waterfall is divided into three layers, and each layer has two waterfalls that attract and melt into a pool, like the ears of lovers rubbing and whispering.

There are many tourists taking photos.

The attraction here is called - Golden Dragon Wobo.

The attraction here is called Y Waterfall. The waterfall is more than ten meters high, and the pool under the waterfall is five or six meters deep. Hanging on two mountain steps, it is in the shape of a cliff. Under the cliff waterfall, there is a pool of clear water with a wide water surface.

“If the water is clear, there will be no fish”, but the opposite is true here.

Shuilian Cave is a natural cave with a stone eaves of aquatic plants on the roof, and a 78-meter-high bead curtain hanging on the stone eaves. All the water patterns drip from the top of the cave like crystal clear pearls.

Calcium Dam and Water Curtain Falls. Under the "U" shaped cliff of Tanpu, there is a collapsed rock mass more than a hundred meters wide and several hundred meters long. When the spring water flows through the collapse body, the calcium precipitated in the water continues to accumulate toward the outer edge, forming a travertine dam tens of meters high. There are lush herbaceous plants on the dam, and the spring water flows along the vegetation, shaped like a tapestry, like a flowing water curtain, so it is called Water Curtain Cave.

Laoquan is also called Jasper Pool. The water in Yaochi is green, clear and beautiful, like a piece of jasper inlaid in the canyon. Visitors drink from the spring water, which means they will live forever.

Further forward, there is a huge stone, which is the 'Wangtang Sword Testing Stone'. According to legend, when Tang Wang Li Shimin was fighting Liu Wuzhou, a descendant of Xiang Xiu, one of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Forest, presented a sword to Li Shimin. The straight cracks left on the boulder were traces left by the Tang king when he tried his sword, hence the name "Wangtang Sword Test Stone".

You can see the waterfall from a distance.

Arrived at ‘Xiyan Lake’ at 4:57. According to legend, the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" of the Eastern Jin Dynasty lived in seclusion in Yuntai Mountain. They were all great talents at that time and often used this pool to wash their inkstones, so the pool was named "Xi Inkstone Lake".

Arrived at Longfengbi at 5 o'clock, located at the end of Tanpo Gorge. Starting 200,000 years ago, due to the synergistic effect of surface water and underground water, a valley wall with three cliffs was formed, with one opening, one small and one large belly, shaped like an urn.

Looking up, I saw a flying sp

Next to the waterfall canyon is the Macaque Valley, but there are no wild macaques in the valley at all. There are some monkeys in iron cages at the foot of the mountain. An old monkey player on the mountain tied a monkey with a rope to perform a monkey show. Around 16:30, we ended our tour of Macaque Valley and checked into the hotel to rest after leaving the scenic spot.

Day two: July 11

Konas Peak

Dogwood Peak is the main peak of Yuntai Mountain, with an altitude of 1,297.6 meters. It was called "Fu Busan" in ancient times because it resembles a cauldron, and the name "Yuntai" probably came from this.

Tickets for Yuntai Mountain are valid for two days. After breakfast the next day, you can go directly to Dogwood Peak and arrive at the entrance of the scenic spot at 9:47. This is a boulder standing in the parking lot with the name Dogwood Peak carved on it.

The peak of Dogwood is due to a poem by the great poet Wang Wei of the Tang Dynasty, "Remembering Shandong Brothers on September 9th" - "I am a stranger in a foreign land alone, and miss my relatives even more during the holidays." "Three Three Five Four" is famous. The brothers from afar were missing one person when planting dogwood. There was a white marble statue of Wang Wei at the entrance of the scenic spot.

Start climbing up the stone steps.

After walking for a while, we arrived at the rest pavilion. Couplet: I don’t want to send the bright moon to warm me; the scenery has its own spring breeze, which makes people intoxicated.

Arrived at Dogwood Peak at 10:25, it only takes an hour to climb the mountain. The fun of climbing is not what is on the top, but the process of conquering it.

Many tourists accidentally do it. Take a group photo. The weather is very hot, and it is obvious from the photo that the middle of the T-shirt is soaked with sweat.

The scenery taken at the top of the mountain is green, the breeze is blowing, and the floating clouds are looming. , endure the humiliation and try to get to the top of the mountain: it dwarfs all the mountains at our feet

Yuntai Mountain is called "North Peak" in the Taoist system, which is similar to Wudang Mountain, which is called "South Peak". In recent years, Huiyun Daochang Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty, and Xuanyuchang Temple was the most severely damaged. The Xuandi Temple is mainly composed of Zhenwu Temple, Niangniang Temple and Caishi Temple. The bronze statue of Emperor Zhenwu in Zhensi is 3.45 meters high. , is the tallest bronze statue in China. Emperor Zhenwu is said to be the son of Pangu, the ancestor of the Five Emperors of China. Emperor Zhenwu cultivated his character in Yuntai Mountain and was sent to guard Wudang Mountain. The Emperor Xuan Palace became his palace every year. A place where incense is burned.

Couplet on the pillars of Zhenjing Temple: One sword must move all sentient beings; five dragons hold the holy exorcism, and the ninety-nine periods will be completed.

The temple on the right is the Temple of Wealth. Temple couplets: Respect heaven and earth, respect gods, and never break trust with others; pray to the God of Wealth and worship the God of Wealth, but only seek justice and benefit.

The temple on the left is the Queen's Hall. Temple couplet: Everything depends on people's words, everything is fate; the environment is created by the mind, to say the least is natural.

After playing for about 35 minutes, we started going down the mountain at 11 o'clock.

It takes about 40 minutes to go down the mountain to the parking lot. Then we went to Wanshan Temple.

Shiwan

Wanshan Temple is located under the Nipple Peak of Wangyan City Wall, surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery. It is said that during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang built a temple on Yuntai Mountain and named it "Wanshan Temple" in order to repay Master Wu Xu's help. Patriarch Wu was stationed in Wuxi and was known as the 24th generation Patriarch. Wanshan Temple became the Patriarch. At that time, there were 64 temples here. At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, many Ming Dynasty officials became monks here. They were hunted down by Qing soldiers and the temples were destroyed. It was later rebuilt, destroyed during the Anti-Japanese War, and rebuilt in 1990. Another is that the temple was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty.
