I am a graduate student this year. Now, according to my previous job hunting situation and my personal situation, cartography and geographic information engineering (including cartography and geographic information system) are better to find a job! The reason for this is the following：

1, GIS has a wide demand, and I have browsed many recruitment units and related positions. The demand of GIS specialty is far greater than that of remote sensing;

2. Personally speaking, the study content of GIS major is wider than that of remote sensing, and it has advantages in the choice of employment;

3. From the key point of view, GIS is technology, emphasizing application, remote sensing focusing on theoretical methods, and GIS is easy to find a job;

4. Remote sensing image is one of the data sources supporting GIS projects. In the whole project process, GIS runs through, but remote sensing has limitations.

5. Remote sensing is boring, while g is is exciting, and its influence on future work can be imagined;

6. Remote sensing image acquisition is difficult or expensive, and GIS is more convenient than remote sensing in work;

If you are preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination and are faced with the choice of major or direction, I think you can refer to the employment situation at this time, but it can never be used as a complete basis or a main basis.
