Brief introduction of yuhua pavilion

Yuhua Pavilion is a large building complex. According to the Hua Shan County Records of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty, "Yuhua Pavilion, located in the east of the county, is dedicated to Gong Li, Puyou Ren Zhen, Honglong, Baima, Saburo and Xianfeng as soldiers for two years (1852). Later, I changed my surname. " "The Renewal of Xiangcheng Tour Ancient City" contains: "In the east of Huangtuling, Qili, southeast of the city, there is a real-life temple built on it today, surrounded by mountains, elegant and pleasant, with ancient trees towering into the sky and ponds to learn from the scriptures." Legend has it that the earliest Yuhua Pavilion was built with materials left over from the construction of Nanyue Temple. If the legend is to be believed, Yuhua Pavilion should have been built at the same time as Nanyue Temple, about the 13th year of Kaiyuan in the Tang Dynasty (725).

The old Yuhua Hall complex consists of Gong Li Temple (Qili Temple? ), Guandi Temple and Yuhua Pavilion are three main buildings, covering an area of about 6,000 square meters. There is a pond in front of Pingping called Yanshan pond. The temple has three entrances, three arches at the entrance, and the word "Yuhua Hall" embedded in the middle gate. This temple is dedicated to Gong Li, Guanyin and the Dragon King. On the right of Gong Li Temple is Guandi Temple, in front of which there are a pair of stone statues. Above the temple, Yuhua Pavilion is a three-storey hexagonal pavilion about 20 meters high, with a wooden ladder circling upwards, and the word "Yuhua Pavilion" is engraved on the middle door. Standing in Tianxin Pavilion, overlooking the southeast, Yuhua Pavilion is faintly visible.

In the battle of Changsha, War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Changsha became a battlefield, Guandi Temple and Yuhua Pavilion were razed to the ground, and Gong Li Temple survived. 1952, Gong Li Temple was nationalized. 1956, the temple site was requisitioned by the government to build a tractor parts factory, and all the hills behind the temple were pushed away, filling up the Yanshan pond in front of the temple. The only ruins of Yuhua Pavilion that can be seen now are a pair of stone statues at the entrance of the heat treatment workshop (formerly Guandi Temple). The stone statue is 1 16 cm high. The left elephant is intact and the right elephant has two broken legs.

The planned Yuhuating Ruins Park is the only planned park in the southeast of Changsha, and the green space is scarce.

In 2006, Changsha Gardenia Medical Foundation and the Affiliated Hospital of Elizabeth Medical College opened Changsha anzhen hospital and settled in Yuhua Pavilion.
