A brief introduction to Shen Jinsheng's life.

Once, a dance photo named "The Sparrow's Soul" left a deep impression on many people, among which Yang li Ping's beautiful dance was also printed in everyone's heart. Its author is photographer Shen Jinsheng. On May 30, 2007, Shen Jinsheng held an exhibition of his personal paintings and photographs in the activity center of retired cadres of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

Shen Jinsheng is over 70 years old and his hair is gray, but he is naive, frank and energetic. During the interview, Mr. Shen sometimes laughed and sometimes danced, and he was not 70 years old and sophisticated at all. As a professional photojournalist, Shen Jinsheng is good at capturing pictures. From Yang li Ping's swaying dance in "The Sparrow's Spirit" to the pure and bright smile on the Tibetan girl's face, from Mr. Ye Yuqian's serious and playful expression to Ms. Bing Xin's attitude of listening carefully, from the majestic ancient buildings in Beijing to the gentle sunset in Houhai, he can capture the infinite moments with his lens. But apart from praise and reward, he felt that photography could not fully express his feelings. So after retirement, he picked up a pen and went to paint.

In fact, Shen Jinsheng was originally a graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. When I was a student in the 1950s, I studied under Li Keran, Ye and other famous teachers. Before he was transferred to Dance Magazine from 65438 to 0977, he had been engaged in the research and teaching of fine arts. Now that he's retired, he doesn't have to catch up with his tasks as in the past, and his time is free, so he has resumed his painting creation, returning to his old job 30 years ago and creating many different styles of paintings. In this exhibition, an oil painting named "Ken Deng Pan" really attracted the audience's attention. In the picture, a strong climber who is climbing Mount Qomolangma is smiling, with a tough and victorious expression on his face. This is a work that Shen Jinsheng is very proud of. Looking at this painting and listening to his story, I suddenly feel that the people in the painting are actually their own portrayal: facing the two peaks of art and photography, he is always climbing with happiness and the belief of winning, just like Chairman Mao's words he quoted for this work: "Nothing is difficult in the world, as long as he is willing to climb."

Shen Jinsheng is a person who regards his career as his life and seldom considers his own health. In the 1970s and 1980s, in order to paint a better life for the miners, he went to eat and live with the miners in the mine of Zhao Xindian, and almost had an accident several times. In order to paint Xinjiang well, he went to Xinjiang for several years. Now that he is old, in order to paint Beijing well, he still often rides a bicycle to sketch everywhere, rain or shine. Hearing these descriptions of the old man, the author can't help asking: "Why did you stop painting for so many years and start painting again?" There are so many new people today, don't you feel pressured? "Shen Jinsheng smiled and said," what pressure do I have? I don't want to be famous or make money. It's a personal hobby, and I'm not in the mood to compare with young people. The government attaches great importance to us and regards us as wealth. I hold this exhibition, which is also a summary of my life. "
