Especially the RAW format, which retains the original image information of CCD or CMOS, provides the largest space for image adjustment in the future. Therefore, in order to achieve the best printout effect, we should try to choose RAW or TIFF format. Without the above two formats, you should also choose JPEG format with the lowest compression rate for shooting and saving.

2. Select the print size

When the pixel of the picture and the storage format of the image file are determined, the selection of the print size of the picture directly affects the print quality of the picture.

For high-precision picture printing, I personally think it is best to control it above 300DPI to ensure its printing needs. According to this requirement, you can calculate the printable size of the picture, that is, the height (or width) of the pixel? 300= printable size (inches). Divide values? 2.54= centimeter size that can be printed.

If the same image file is printed as a picture in A3 format, the printed DPI value will decrease and the picture quality will not be as good as that in A4 format because of the low pixels. The pictures printed by the Canon S800 inkjet printer I use are by no means worse than those printed by negative films. The price alone is about 2800 yuan, which may be unbearable for ordinary families, while the price of laser and thermal dye sublimation is much higher than that of inkjet printers. As a general printing, I think the photo-grade six-color inkjet printer can basically meet the demand. Due to the lack of two intermediate colors, the transition point of four colors is poor, and its effect is far less than that of six colors.

4. Selection of print media

Different printing media also directly affect the printing quality of pictures. Canon's printer had better choose Canon's printing medium. This is because each manufacturer has considered that the pigments they use can be best absorbed and expressed by their own printing media when designing.

I have tried to print on Canon S800 with three different grades of printing paper: Canon, Kodak and Epson. Canon's printing paper is the whitest and most delicate, and the printing effect is the best. In addition to different sizes, printing paper can be divided into high resolution, general photo printing paper and high-gloss photo printing paper according to different materials. Among them, high-gloss printing paper has the best effect but the highest price.
