Sharing Excellent Works —— Analysis of Ode to Taoism and Zen and Xilinbi

A Brief Analysis of Ode to Chuan Dao Zen Master and Title Xilin Wall

Text/let nature take its course

The first carol:

Yue: The distant mountains are colored, but the water near them is silent.

Spring is gone, the flowers are still there, and it is not surprising that people come.

The head is exposed and everything is flat.

How to say no, just because it is too clear.

-Chuan Dao Zen Master (Southern Song Dynasty)

I was inspired by the wonderful sharing of classic poems by Kong Ming and Tao Zhe. I also want to share my humble opinion here. If there are any mistakes, please comment. Thank you again for sharing your wisdom!

The first four sentences of this ode can be titled "painting" or have nothing to do with painting. This is a poem full of philosophy and Zen!

Observe and experience from a brand-new perspective, and the field of vision presented to you varies with different perspectives. Taking "painting" as the topic, painting means thinking, that is, painting the mind-observing the mind, and looking at it with a pure and original wisdom, everything is born, immortal and immortal.

The perspective is infinitely expanded. For example, photographers stand in different perspectives and see different worlds and landscapes. For example, after seeing the same thing, everyone will have different observation results and express different opinions and opinions. This is the different pictures and realms displayed from different perspectives!

From a distance, the mountains are colorful: from the perspective of purity and wisdom, everything is fresh and chic. Mountains and colors, colored but colorless. From a distance, it is only superficial action, and it is not true or false, indicating that the phenomenon is illusory!

Listening to water: from the perspective of pure and inaction wisdom, water is silent, water conservancy does not dispute everything, humility is low, things are moistened quietly, and the nature of water is inaction. The phenomenon of water is constantly flowing and disillusioned. This impermanent change also reflects the law of development of all things!

Spring has passed and the flowers are still there: spring, time flies and everything is changing. Flowers, here refers to nature, eternity, immortality, purity, self-sufficiency, purity, self-nature, and ingenious use can show a prosperous world!

It is not surprising that people come: the world is bustling, but the heart is still motionless, the heart is not in the way, not greedy, clean and pollution-free!

All the heads are exposed: look at everything with pure wisdom. Under the observation of wisdom, everything is stained, just like the dew in the sun melting instantly, truly revealing the true colors of everything!

Yuan Ping: It is vain to look at things with a harmonious eye and see the true colors of everything in the world. For example, the three dharma seals say that all things are impermanent, all laws have no self, and nirvana is silent (or four dharma seals: all things are bitter)!

How to say no: the power of language is limited, and it is impossible to understand the truth itself all the time. No matter whether the heart is a Buddha or a Buddha, the heart produces various methods. Different moods, different feelings, no words!

Just because it is too clear: I have been addicted to fantasy for too long, lost myself, confused truth with falsehood, addicted to greed, and addicted to unconsciously. If I can keep my heart, I feel that I feel nothing when I feel it!

The enlightenment of this poem is that under the observation of perfect wisdom, everything is quiet and peaceful, and he is the natural flow of his own nature.

According to the wisdom of harmony, the vast universe and everything in the world are impermanent and changeable. There are no unchanging entities, but they are changing rapidly. Everything is impermanent, and nothing can be artificially controlled. Therefore, we should learn to let go of the illusory material world, the greed of fame and fortune, intrigue and killing each other, and return to the natural and peaceful heart.

The second carol:

Yue: Looking horizontally, the ridge side peaks.

Different distances;

I don't know the true face of Lushan Mountain,

Just because I'm in this mountain.

-"Title Xilin Wall" Su Shi (Song)

This poem has far-reaching significance, and everyone has different feelings and inspirations. It is a kind of literary appreciation and a profound philosophy, which can enlighten people's minds, expand people's thinking space, and can be extended indefinitely.

Looking at the mountain side into a peak: people look at different scenery from different perspectives. One peak and one ridge, can you say this is a mountain? If you only look at things from one angle, you will only see a single and one-sided cognition, because the starting point of looking at problems is different, and everything is reasonable from another angle. Because of the different perspectives, the world has an unusual excitement and sound.

Different distances: because of different perspectives, what you see is different. If ten thousand people observe (see) a thing, it will become a kaleidoscope, and the results you see will be different and colorful. The world is naturally diverse, which is also the charm of the perspective.

I don't know the true face of Lushan Mountain: this poem has a philosophy that the authorities are fascinated and the onlookers are clear. Only by looking at the essence through phenomena and observing everything with wisdom can we find the true face of Lushan Mountain and the truth of things.

But toward which corner of the mountain: Obsessed with superficial phenomena, both the scenery and the mood are still asleep. Walking back and forth in the maze, if you want to see the essence of things clearly, you must go beyond illusion and be a bystander, and you will have no self. Without me, you can restore things naturally, rationally and obsessively.

The enlightenment of this poem is that we should not be obsessed with the thing itself when we do anything. We should look at the world from a different angle, and you will find something different. There are infinite possibilities in the world. We should treat everything in the world as a bystander. If we walk in the world like this, all people, things and things will become simple and clear, and the troubles of self-restraint will not fall, and life will become very comfortable, comfortable and beautiful!
