Where is Jiuma in Guilin?

Nine horses in Jiuma Painting Mountain in Guilin are at the top of the stone wall, above Yu Weifeng.

Ma Huashan is one of the famous scenic spots of Lijiang River in Guilin, located four kilometers upstream of Xingping River. Standing by the river, the stone wall looks like an incision and looks like a huge painting screen from a distance. The stone wall is cut, with the height and width of each 100 meters.

The stone wall is ochre, yellow, green and white, colorful, alternating shades, like a huge mural, so it is called painted mountain. If you look closely at Jiuma Painting Mountain, you can see that there are nine horses at the top, bottom, left and right of Shibi and Yuwei Peak, so it is called Jiuma Painting Mountain. There is Ma Yinquan at the foot of the mountain, and the stone wall next to the spring is engraved with the words Stone Wall Map of Li Qing, Ruan Yuan in Qing Dynasty.

Legend about Nine Horses Painting Mountain;

According to legend, Jiuma was originally a celestial fairy, who stole the mortal world while the Monkey King, the Great Sage of Qi Tian, was not well cared for. It's a pity that I was seen by a painter when I was drinking water by the Lijiang River.

The painter tried to paint it, but the horse was frightened and panicked into the stone wall and stayed in the world forever. Because they are all changed by God, their shapes are unpredictable and difficult to identify. Therefore, a ballad has been circulating throughout the ages: "Look at Ma Lang, look at Ma Lang, ask how many pairs of horses you have, look at your seven horses second, and look at your nine champions."
