Photography course-how to take clear pictures of the starry sky

Recently, I encountered some problems about how to get clear images under the starry sky. In this tutorial, I listed the key elements that you must master when you want to take the clearest starry sky image at night.

1. Focus

If you want the stars to be sharp and focused, you need to learn how to focus on infinity. When focusing to infinity or near infinity, each lens seems to have a slightly different light spot. Try to focus in the sun and learn the infinite focus of the lens.

Take a solar test image with the widest possible aperture value.

Shoot vast landscapes or distant themes.

In the manual focusing mode, the focal length is reduced by using the zoom real-time viewing mode.

Import pictures into your computer for further inspection.

2. Camera equipment

Use a wide-angle lens with a large aperture to photograph galaxies and stars. If you take pictures on a windy night, please prepare a decent tripod and use a counterweight to keep it stable.

3. Camera settings

The wider your lens, the longer the shutter speed, and you can capture the stars without moving. When you need a shorter shutter speed, use a higher ISO setting.

4. Post-processing sharpening

Sharpen your image with Lightroom. You can see these settings in the details panel.
