Shui Mu Nian Hua is a famous singing and composing group in mainland China. The main members are Lu Gengxu and Miao Jie. In 2001, Lu Gengxu and Li Jian founded Shuimunianhua. In 2002, Li Jian chose to go solo, and then Miao Jie and Yao Yong joined to form a trio. In 2003, Yao Yong went solo, leaving Lu Gengxu and Miao Jie in Shuimu Nianhua and still remain together today. All four members are graduates of Tsinghua University. Shuimunianhua became popular in the mainland music scene with campus folk songs such as "I Will Have You in My Life" and "In Another Country".
