Spring portrait shooting skills

Lead: Many models get nervous in front of the camera. How can we grasp the most natural portrait expression and create romantic and attractive works? How to adjust the white balance? How to delete the annoying messy background? I'll tell you as soon as I get here.

No matter what kind of shooting, we should first review the three principles of the New York Institute of Photography. Then answer the questions according to each code, make sure you know what you are shooting, and make a perfect preparation for 100%.

1. What is the theme of this photo?

Quite simply, the subject is the subject. But in fact, not only the person under the camera, but also her/his expression and her/her emotion need to be brought into the camera. Because this technology is about romantic portraits, not news portraits or headshots, the love and romance shown by photographers is the most important theme we want to express.

Second, how can we focus on the subject and attract the attention of the viewer?

For portrait photography, the best way is to enlarge the model so that it is in the middle of the photo, and the head and shoulders of the portrait are the best in the lens. Because shooting too close will make people look as if they are frozen in the picture, which will have a very unnatural effect, so it is recommended to shoot at a distance of 4-5 feet (1.2- 1.5 meters). Therefore, the focal length of the best portrait is within 85-135 mm.

Third, is the picture concise? Does it only include things that are conducive to attracting the attention of the subject?

The most common problem in portrait shooting is that the background is too messy. In order to avoid the later complexity, we should choose a simpler background from the beginning. If shooting indoors, consider simple and colorful curtains or walls, and try to avoid too many messy backgrounds outside. Don't skimp on a few minutes to get rid of those unsightly backgrounds.

Shooting skill

Keep the model relaxed.

The biggest difference between romantic photo and ordinary photo is to present the most natural love and romantic atmosphere, and exquisite affectation can't make a good photo. Therefore, it is the most important person for a photographer to keep the model relaxed. If you shoot a couple, you can make them talk freely, and then inadvertently shoot the sweetest and most romantic moment. Kissing or hugging will add the most romantic atmosphere to a simple portrait.

Be careful not to let your model give you a big laugh, because the effect often feels forced. On the contrary, asking for a smile in the eyes or a faint smile may bring out more romantic emotions.

Set the IOS value and shutter speed.

Keeping the shutter speed as high as possible will help you capture more delicate feelings. As for ISO setting, we recommend indoor 400 and outdoor 200. When shooting, the flash can be turned on or off, depending on your own choice. When using the flash, keep the other person away from the wall or curtain to minimize the shadow.

vertical photography

If you want to concentrate all your attention on the portrait, vertical photography will concentrate more effectively than horizontal photography, which can reduce the appearance of unnecessary elements in the picture.

Creative romantic photo

Some funny scenes or creative designs can also create romantic portraits. Who says romantic love can only continue in warm and sweet scenes? Love can also sprout in joy and fun!
