Five shooting techniques

Lead: In daily shooting, we often encounter some small shooting problems, which may not be a problem for experienced photographers, but in some cases, for example, we lack some equipment; Maybe you are a novice photographer, and you still have a little knowledge of those shooting functions and don't know how to apply them. This article will introduce five simple shooting techniques for everyone, so that everyone can enjoy the fun of photography more happily.

1, flexible manual white balance

How to get your favorite white balance correctly? First, we need to know whether our camera has the option of manual white balance. At present, all digital SLR cameras have the function of manual white balance, but another color temperature white balance does not have the function of all entry-level SLR cameras, and only appears on the SLR body with higher positioning. However, with the development of technology, many single-camera cameras now have the above two manual white balance functions.

The white balance is right. What body and lens are not? Yellow?

Generally speaking, the most common problem we encounter is often the unsatisfactory color. For example, we often say that this lens is cold, the fuselage is yellow and so on. Or indoor shooting can only take dim photos or something. In fact, these are just automatic white balance judgments that are not what you want. The solution is simple. You can manually balance yourself.

Common manual white balance function

There are two modes of manual white balance: 1, color temperature white balance, 2, manual white balance. Manual white balance setting means that the camera restores the white color in the shooting environment, so you can get accurate color expression by using a standard white paper (but for colored lights such as neon lights, you can only restore fluorescent lights such as warm lights to restore the light color). So if you use manual white balance, you can quickly restore the shooting in warm/cold light environment to the standard 5000K standard color temperature. By the way, different brands have different manual white balance settings, so you should read the instructions before use.

Color temperature and white balance adjustment

Color temperature white balance is my personal favorite manual white balance mode, because adjustment can quickly and simply fine-tune the white balance, which is very convenient. Of course, you can also shoot in RAW format, and then adjust the color temperature more carefully after you go home, which will be more accurate than the adjustment of the camera. But this time it's a simple method, so I won't discuss the later stage for the time being.

Manual white balance color is more accurate.

By adjusting the white balance, the problem of warm indoor photos can be well improved. The lower the color temperature, the more photos there will be. Cold? (blues), the higher the color temperature, the more photos? Warm? (Huang Tiao).

Lowering the color temperature properly can make the sky bluer.

If you want the picture of the photo to be warmer or colder, please use color temperature white balance happily. You may not be used to it at first, and you need to debug it several times to get the desired effect, but after you get familiar with it, you can easily get the desired photo color style.

Finally, in addition to color temperature adjustment, white balance adjustment also has a tone fine-tuning function, which is troublesome to use and requires relevant chromatics knowledge to adjust and use, otherwise it is easy to confuse the colors of photos. Therefore, the author does not recommend beginners to use this function.

2, mobile phones as lighting sources

External flash

Do you think it is necessary for a camera to take pictures with the help of a flash when the light is insufficient? In fact, in actual shooting, many scenes do not need a flash, and the LED on the mobile phone can be used as a lighting supplement. Moreover, as a portable thing, mobile phone is naturally available to everyone, and it is a popular solution.

Common failure of backlight: the subject is black.

First of all, when should we use lighting sources other than ambient light? First, when the light is backlit. In this environment, because the light shines in one direction from the back of the subject, and there is not enough light in front, the subject in the picture is dark but the background is bright. In this case, a flash (or reflector) or something is necessary, and it is impossible for a mobile phone LED to help you.

Common problems in shadow environment

Second, the subject is in a shadow environment. This situation is similar to backlighting, and the solution is not only to use lights, but also to get out of the shadows. However, because this environment can create some special effects, many people use lighting schemes.

Common configuration of shed: shed lamp, background cloth and soft umbrella.

Third, shoot in the shed. Speaking of tent shooting, I think the first thing that everyone thinks of is the flash that is high first and then low. In fact, in some cases, it is also possible to use the LED of the mobile phone instead of the flash. How? The author will introduce it to you below.

Let's talk about the first and second cases first. In the backlight state, because the brightness of the LED of the mobile phone can't play with the sun, if it is in the backlight state, everyone should use professional equipment such as reflectors and flashlights. Don't throw it! I'm not finished yet! However, if you shoot small items indoors, that's the method I'm going to recommend for you now.

The current mobile phone LED can be used for general emergency lighting.

In fact, people who are willing to use cameras as personal equipment now are all favorite photographers (T...t, take a SLR for dinner, isn't this true love? )。 However, when encountering a bad lighting environment, ordinary beginners will be confused and don't know how to shoot well. Ok, don't be afraid, take out your mobile phone and turn on the LED.

Common lighting angles (picture from network)

Well, before we talk about how to use LED lighting, we need to know the application of light angle. The blue dot in the middle is the contrast subject, the yellow dot is the LED lighting point, and the black dot is the position of the camera. However, different light levels at different angles illuminate different areas and bring different shadows.

Positive fill light, that is, smooth light and side light, is mainly to darken the background, highlight the main body, pay attention to properly adjust the camera and increase or decrease the exposure.

Backfill light, that is, backlight, is mainly to highlight the outline of the subject and strengthen the shadow of the picture, which is a shooting technique that is more inclined to create an atmosphere.

The mobile phone is used as a shed to take photos.

The above photos were taken with a mobile phone as the light source of the shed. The method is very simple, that is, lengthen the exposure time of the camera, shoot with a small aperture and low sensitivity, and then use LED to meet the needs? Bright? Light up this place. The lighting speed should be controlled well, the shutter can't be closed, the bright place can't be lit up, and it can't flash too fast, otherwise it is easy to be underexposed.
