As the office park of Alibaba Dharma Institute in the future, the project has started construction. The park will integrate the most advanced intelligent offices, research laboratories, visitors, exhibition centers and related supporting facilities, and strive to build a world-class scientific research institute in Yuhang Nanhu.

Since its establishment more than three years ago, Dharma Institute has become an important base for promoting world innovation and scientific and technological development. The owner requires that the appearance of the building should highlight the characteristics, highlight the corporate temperament of Dharma Institute, which integrates the eastern heritage and western culture, and present the corporate characteristics of facing the cutting-edge technology of the future and integrating multiple cutting-edge disciplines.

Seeing Aedas of Dharma Institute from Nanhu Lake

Location and site conditions

The project is located in Nanhu Science Center, Yuhang District, the core area of Hangzhou West Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. As an important part of "one city and three centers" in the future science and technology city, Yuhang District has many important innovative projects around the project, which will become an important area to lead the economic and technological development of Yuhang in the future.

The base covers a vast area, with a total area of about 228 100 square meters and a depth of nearly 500 meters in the north-south, east-west directions. The traffic around the base is convenient, with the southwest side near Nanhu subway station and the south side along Hangrui Expressway and National Highway 329. The base also has rich landscape resources and lush vegetation. On both sides of the northeast is Nanhu Lake, surrounded by Nanhu Wetland Park and Dharma Park to be developed in the future.

How to build a miniature city here, coordinate multi-directional traffic and people flow, fully mobilize landscape resources, and integrate the building into the surrounding natural texture has become a major test of design.

The design carefully considers environmental factors and draws inspiration from the layout of leaves. By imitating the veins of leaves, the landscape and axial belt system are constructed, making the park a bodhi leaf floating on the water surface of South Lake, creating a beautiful and elegant city card of Hangzhou and forming a unique colorful water floating leaf landscape.

The overall layout adopts the north-south direction 15 degree angle, and the staff canteen is arranged around the middle north-south direction, forming a deep-rooted Chinese courtyard-style building community. The wind and rain corridor and the green courtyard naturally connect the office building, forming a space environment that blends with the lake and green veins. While ensuring the efficient operation of the moving line in the park, it enhances the natural ventilation and maximizes the lighting and landscape vision of the building complex.

In the layout of the geometric topological relationship between height extension and centripetal, the finger-plate building in the east-west direction is adopted to naturally blend with the surrounding landscape, balance the area and depth, and maximize the potential of the site. The facade of the banlou is based on the screen, which forms a deep garden scene with the green scenery between the buildings.

The base covers a vast area, and the design creates a comfortable space scale for relatives through the multi-level green landscape interspersed between buildings and the courtyard space with the aspect ratio of one to two, which is ingeniously integrated with the surrounding natural texture and has a quiet and beautiful environment.

The green landscape fluctuates, from the external waterscape square and riverside green belt, to the landscape courtyard and green forest courtyard between the office building and the laboratory, as well as the plant inner courtyard, waterscape inner courtyard and urban landscape axis on the core axis, forming a pleasant landscape change experience.

A pleasant experience of changing scenery

There are waterscape squares at the entrances at both ends of the landscape axis; There is a double-deck landscape corridor in the middle, and the central courtyard is surrounded by a circular overpass. A tree is located in the center, growing vigorously, surrounded by a pool of clear water, and together with the circular bridge, it creates a beautiful scenery of one leaf and one bodhi. The courtyard landscape adopts Jiangnan garden layout, with bamboo as the screen and stone as the scene, and grass, gravel and trees are used to create a Zen space for blank space and meditation.

Complex traffic lines

The internal area of the base is vast, and how to realize efficient and convenient internal and external moving lines has become a major design problem.

Considering the needs of traffic circulation in the park, office buildings, laboratories and landscape corridors are set in parallel, and canteens and public service facilities are set on the north-south axis of the park center to facilitate employees' daily access. At the same time, the office building and the laboratory are connected in series through the wind and rain corridor and the air bridge, which reduces the pressure of access during the peak period and provides a lot of public space for employees to interact in rich interactive places.

A large number of public spaces are connected in series with Aedas in various office areas.

In addition to the main entrance for pedestrians, the base has also planned special roads and bicycle rental points. Motor vehicle entrances and exits are distributed in all directions of the base, avoiding the congestion points of surrounding traffic. According to the types of motor vehicles, we have planned their own access routes and parking spaces for employees' cars, visitors' cars, transport trucks, buses, taxis, network cars, etc. , so as to realize the diversion and ensure to reach their respective destinations in the shortest path.

Sharing efficient units and special designs

Based on the concept of "working group", the team studied the design trend of scientific research office, and integrated work, meeting and personal space to create an open, shared and free cooperative office environment.

The office building is a multi-storey building with regular column network structure and flexible layout. Modular office space can form a workplace of 2000 square meters to 4000 square meters according to demand, and maximize the flexibility of use. Working groups are distributed around shared facilities, atrium and public space to strengthen communication and interaction and improve the cooperation efficiency of different teams. There is a service business on the first floor of the office building, where you can enjoy a light meal and exchange discussions.

A pleasant environment integrated with nature

Courtyard, garden and public square are embedded between office buildings for employees' leisure and activities, forming a pleasant environment integrated with nature. The serrated facade with glass curtain wall can maximize the landscape orientation, skillfully use the facade angle and avoid the interference of adjacent buildings. Looking out from the office space, people and the landscape are integrated at this moment: layers of beautiful paintings and folds, a beautiful scenery of the South Lake.

The design also integrates intelligent building system through automatic monitoring and intelligent control system, which not only improves security and user experience, but also reduces energy consumption, and explores a new design paradigm for future office space.
