I want to see the great migration of animals in Kenya. Can you share a reliable route?
To see the great migration of animals, going to Kenya is definitely the right choice, haha.
The best place to see the Great Migration of animals - the Masai Mara National Park Hotel, the main battlefield of the Great Migration of animals, has a greater chance of seeing various wild animals in Kenya.
I just went with a group of friends on Wind Vane Travel in August, and had a super close encounter with wild animals. It was so exciting and thrilling!
Without further ado, let’s share our itinerary with you. Of course, you can also go directly to the official website of Wind Vane Travel or find their staff to learn about the current situation.
On the first day, set off and fly to a dreamy adventure destination.
The next day, we arrived in Nairobi and headed to Amboseli with the weather vane staff.
As soon as we arrived at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, we saw that the Weathervane team had arrived at the airport to welcome us, and I was very excited! On the way, the weather vane team introduced us to the driver, guide, and related precautions during this trip.
We drove to Amboseli and checked into a 5-star hotel in the park, which was not affected by the opening and closing times of the protected area in the park. I took advantage of the best light in the early morning and late afternoon to capture sunrise and sunset scenes with acacia trees in the foreground, and also captured the spectacular scene of a large herd of elephants passing through Mount Kilimanjaro at sunset.
On the third day, we started the animal carnival journey, and the first place we went to was Naivasha.
When we woke up, we drove to Lake Naivasha National Park. Upon arrival, we checked into the hotel and enjoyed a buffet lunch at the hotel. Lake Naivasha is the largest freshwater lake in Kenya. In the afternoon, I took a cruise to go deep into Lake Naivasha, the largest freshwater lake in Kenya. I saw hundreds of freshwater birds and hippopotamus families. The beautiful scenery left a deep impression on me. impression.
On the fourth day, we moved to the Masai Mara.
After breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara National Wildlife Refuge, the largest wildlife reserve in the world. Here, we saw Africa’s Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, bison and rhinoceros.) So many kinds of wild animals!
There are also beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the grassland, which are as wonderful as a fairyland. You are completely integrated into the wonderful nature and feel the relaxation that you have not seen for a long time. Then, drive into the reserve to look for animals.
On the fifth day, continue the "challenge" with animals in the Masai Mara.
July and August are the seasons for the great migration of wild animals in the East African grasslands. Today, we were fortunate to see millions of wildebeests, zebras and other animals rushing to cross the Mara River, and lions and cheetahs. A spectacular scene of predators following closely behind, waiting for an opportunity to hunt. We deliberately chose to hide by the Mara River and wait for filming, and captured wonderful scenes such as the mighty wildebeest crossing the river and crocodiles hunting.
On the sixth day, the exciting Maasai Mara.
Today, we spent the whole day filming wildebeests crossing the river, crocodiles ambush wildebeests, groups of vultures eating wildebeests in the Mara River, zebra carcasses and other tragic scenes.
The local tour leader and driver are very experienced. They have led photography groups to search for animals on the prairie many times. At the same time, the tour leader will also observe the Great Migration groups at different river crossing points and wait for filming by the river. Wonderful scenes such as the mighty wildebeest crossing the river and crocodiles hunting. We will use radio and walkie-talkie information sharing to search for urgent scenes of leopards, cheetahs, and lions hunting and sharing food.
The Maasai Mara is the world-famous Maasai Mara National Park. In the African savannah covered with shallow hills, jungles, and varied landforms, the Mara River meanders through, and you can see zebras and gazelles as far as the eye can see. , African eland, wildebeest, hunting dogs, wild boars, ostriches, giraffes and other animals roam freely. Of course, the setting sun, the huge acacia trees, and the moving pictures of the blend of emotion and scenery also left a deep impression on us.
On the seventh day, in the bird’s paradise, Nakuru.
After getting up early in the morning and having breakfast, we set off to Nakuru with the weathervane team, and entered Nakuru for filming in the afternoon. At sunset, the densely packed flamingos in the lake fly and dance in the air, flying in formation in the sunset. The moment I pressed the shutter, I was very excited! Nakuru is not only a paradise for birds, you can also photograph: colobus monkeys, jumping rabbits, clawless otters, rock cats, black rhinos, etc.
On the eighth day, we set off and prepared to end the animal carnival.
Today, we drove to Nairobi. I also specially bought some local coffee, tea and Kenyan souvenirs. After lunch, we returned to the airport to prepare to return home. Happy Kenya just wants to end, but she still feels a little reluctant in her heart.
