Plot introduction

[Edit this paragraph]

In the morning, there was no one over Fifth Avenue in New York, wearing a black evening dress and a fake jewelry necklace around his neck. Well-dressed Holly Golightly stood alone in front of Tiffany's jewelry store, with her cheek against the window and a brown paper bag in her hand. While eating the bread in the bag and drinking hot coffee, she looked at everything in Tiffany's shop with envious eyes ... However, what Holly really wanted in her heart was not breakfast. In order to make money, young and beautiful Holly wants to go to Mexico with her favorite brother Fred to release her horse and realize her dream since she was fourteen. She pursues fame and fortune all day long and becomes a red card socialite among many handsome rich and political celebrities. In order to earn a communication fee of $50 an hour, she even went to the prison to "socialize" with the mafia boss until one day a gentle man moved downstairs. His real name is Paul Wajak, and he dreams of becoming a great writer one day, but he makes a living by the "gifts" of rich women.

They are both money worshippers. Interestingly, with the gradual communication between them, the distance between them has been narrowed a little and their inner world has been liberated a little. Slowly, the two people have a feeling of knowing each other and cherishing each other ... Paul Wajak, who fell in love, turned over a new leaf and stopped being a midnight cowboy to show his love to Holly, but Holly announced that the Brazilian rich were after her. Soon, Holly invited Paul to have breakfast and cook for herself. Holly, who has never cooked, listened to Portuguese, piled lettuce in a salad bowl the size of a washbasin, sprinkled olive oil and red vinegar casually, and then mixed them rhythmically.

Paul proposed to Holly, but Holly ignored him and took out a bottle of red wine from the refrigerator, saying that she would marry Brazilian Jose, although in fact Jose had not proposed to her. Paul proposed to her again, and she said that she had prepared Murray-style chicken salad. The pressure cooker fluttered at this moment. When Holly leaned over to turn off the fire, she only heard an explosion, and chicken and soup spilled everywhere. Holly hugged Paul in a hurry. Holly, who is about to leave Brazil, began to learn Portuguese on the one hand, and learned to cook Latin American food on the other. This failed "Murray Chicken Salad with Chili Sauce" seems to indicate that her dream of being a rich housewife in Brazil will eventually be disillusioned like a bubble. However, how did this climax breakfast end?

When Paul Wajak was desperate, he had an unexpected turn for the better, which made their relationship come to a bright future. The police arrested Holly on suspicion of drug trafficking. Finally, Holly put on a ring engraved with Tiffany that Paul gave her, and together with Paul, she hugged her lost kitten in the pouring rain-or her lost romance and innocence. After all! What luxury in the world is sweeter and happier than having a "love breakfast" with someone you love?

Film evaluation

[Edit this paragraph]

Audrey Hepburn's brave and lovely Holly Golightly pushed the pleasure of entertainment to a new height!

Audrey Hepburn plays Holly Golightly, who is the craziest heroine and has appeared quietly in best-selling novels!

Audrey Hepburn plays Holly Golightly. . . The most hilarious heroine once crumpled the pages of best-selling books. . . Provide wild oats and wonderful fun!

The melodious pop song "Moon River" is the theme song of this film and won the Oscar for Best Movie Song. The film shoots a modern romantic legend with brisk brushstrokes, and Hepburn's beautiful shape is particularly admirable. However, there are a lot of dialogues in the whole film, sometimes it seems to be interminable, and some characters are exaggerated. For example, mickey rooney's Japanese neighbors are embarrassingly vulgar.

Behind the scenes production

[Edit this paragraph]

Breakfast at Tiffany's is a famous American film, which was praised by critics as "the best American comedy film in 1960s" in the last century. For forty years, its charm has not diminished, and it still attracts many audiences. Breakfast at Tiffany's, starring Audrey Hepburn, was the most popular actress in the 1960s, one of the highest-grossing films of 196 1, and the highest attendance among all her films. The film won the best music (song) and best music (plot comedy soundtrack) at the 34th Oscar with 196 1.

Director blake edwards was a young director who rose from Ran Ran. He turned this story about a girl of 19 years old flirting with a rich man in search of true love into a gentle love story and gave it a tragicomedy ending.

This film can be said to be one of the most noteworthy works in Audrey Hepburn's performance resume, and her vivid and natural performance adds a strange luster to the film. This is probably Audrey Hepburn's best role. She mixes willfulness, vulnerability and childlike innocence with the heroine Holly Golightly, a telephone girl in new york. Her expression is so unique that the role seems to be tailored for her. Only she can express the characters in Capata's novels in such an emotional and naive way, and create a love story which is intertwined with ups and downs, full of naughty humor and unique visual style.

At first, Hepburn hesitated about the role. The heroine kept seducing and chasing men, and finally fell in love with a writer kept by others. This role is very different from Hepburn's pure image in the past. But she saw the opportunity to break through her single image and accepted the role. Finally, she explained the role herself: she never really did anything. Hepburn even said that she "lives in an atmosphere very similar to Holly".

At the beginning of filming, critics agreed that it was a mistake to let Hepburn play Holly-how can an artistic European express herself with an American country girl who is a model of new york? But Hepburn created a completely different girl through the role of Holly: a dissolute girl, the way she greeted a taxi, called everyone "dear", played with a long pipe gracefully, and put her shoes on a fruit bowl, all of which became unforgettable classics, and her dress in the film is still absolutely leading the trend today.

The theme song Moon River was specially written by Henry Mancini for this film, which won an Oscar and became a classic. The scene of Hepburn sitting on the fire escape and playing the guitar slowly singing this song became the most unforgettable scene in the history of movies.

Wonderful tidbits

[Edit this paragraph]

The producer initially wanted Marilyn Monroe to play Holly, but Monroe refused.

Tiffany is the top jewelry store in the United States, which opened on 1837. It has a long history and is favored by the upper class.

The film was adapted from Capote's novel of the same name published by 1950, which made Audrey Hepburn nominated for the fourth Oscar actress.

This film was praised by film critics as "the best American comedy film in the 1960s". Its charm has not diminished for 40 years, and it still attracts a large number of new audiences every year. It is also the most noteworthy work in Audrey Hepburn's performance resume, and her vivid and natural performance adds luster to the film. In the film, Hepburn sat on the fire escape and sang "Moon River", which became the most unforgettable scene in film history. As one of the top three actresses in the 1960s (the other two are doris day and Julie Andrews), Breakfast at Tiffany's, starring Hepburn, is one of the highest-grossing films of 196 1 and has the highest attendance rate among all her films.

Wonderful dialogue

[Edit this paragraph]

Holly: I don't want to own anything until I find a place where things and I can be one. I don't know where it is, but I know what it looks like. Just like Tiffany's.

Paul: Tiffany? You mean the jewelry store.

Holly Golightly: That's right. I'm just crazy about Tiffany!

Holly: I don't want anything until I find a place where I can be with the person I like. I don't know where this place is, but I know what it looks like. Just like Tiffany's.

Paul: Tiffany? You mean the jewelry store?

Holly: Yes, I'm crazy about Tiffany!

-

Holly: I'm like a cat here, a lazy guy with no name. We belong to no one, and no one belongs to us. We don't even belong to each other

Holly: I'm like that kitten, a poor creature with no name. We belong to no one, and no one belongs to us. We don't even belong to each other

-

Paul: Do you know what's wrong with you, miss, no matter who you are? You are a coward, you have no courage. You are afraid to stick out your chin and say, "well, life is a fact. People fall in love and people belong to each other, because this is the only chance for anyone to be truly happy." You call yourself a free soul, a "wild thing", and you are afraid that someone will put you in a cage. Baby, you're already in that cage. You made it yourself. Its western part is not bounded by tulips in Texas, and its eastern part is not bounded by Somalia. No matter where you go. Because no matter where you run, you will only meet yourself in the end.

Paul: Nobody misses you. Do you know what your problem is? You are timid, you have no courage, and you dare not stand up and say, "Yes, this is life." People love each other and belong to each other, because this is the only chance to get real happiness. "You keep saying that you have a free soul and are a' wild thing', but you are afraid of being locked in a cage. In fact, you are already in a cage, which you built yourself. Whether you are in the west or the east, it will always follow you. Wherever you go, you are always trapped by yourself.

-

Holly: Don't look at me like that. I'm going to Brazil ... help me find the new york Times and find out the list of the 50 richest people in Brazil. Remember, it is 50.

Paul: I won't let you do that.

Holly: You won't let me go?

Paul: I love you, Holly.

Holly: So what?

Paul: So what? I love you very much. I love you, you belong to me.

Holly: No, there is no such thing as who belongs to whom.

Paul: Of course.

Holly: No one can keep me in a cage.

Paul: I don't want to keep you in a cage. I want to love you.
