The term poster means to announce to everyone. In fact, posters are not a popular form of announcement only in modern times. They existed as far back as ancient Egypt. According to the findings of archaeologists, there are murals on the remaining walls and piles in the ruins of Egypt. This kind of murals means to announce that something will happen to the public, and it can be called the earliest poster.

In the Roman era, the use of posters became more common. Whenever there is a match or duel in the arena, posters will be put up everywhere to promote it. After the invention of printing, posters became much more active. They could not only be posted, but also hand-passed. The advent of lithography in 1796 added various colors and patterns to posters, adding to the propaganda effect.
