When will "Love Is Higher Than the Mountain" be broadcast?

"Higher than the Mountains", the first war movie that truly shows the theme of the Burma Highway, recently announced that it will be released on October 24.

The film is directed by the famous photographer Wang Yi, and is performed by many powerful actors from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, including Kou Shixun, Wang Baijie, Liu Xiaoxiao, Zhang Zhengxiang, and Yi Shan. The film truly reproduces the legend of the road construction of the Burma Highway, one of the miracles in the history of world road construction, and uses humanistic sentiments to show the history of blood and tears of the unity of all ethnic groups in the southwest during the Anti-Japanese War.

In early 1938, in order to ensure material supplies for the anti-Japanese front; for the survival of the nation, and to break the blockade of the Japanese invaders, China had to build a "life transportation line" to the outside world. To this end, the people of all ethnic groups in Yunnan united as one and built a mountain road stretching for thousands of kilometers, the Burma Highway, with their blood and sweat.

30 college students selected from Southwest Associated University went to the depths of the mountains after a short-term training to mobilize people to build roads. Wang Junrong, a young road builder, came to two ancient villages along the Nu River and began a difficult persuasion work.

Because the designed route needs to pass through Serin, which is regarded as a sacred mountain in villages inhabited by local ethnic minorities, it was firmly opposed by the ethnic minorities. Another Han village also found various reasons to shirk. Just when everyone was in a stalemate, news came that the Yunnan soldiers were almost completely destroyed in the Battle of Taierzhuang. The residents of the two villages forgot their past grievances, came together, united as one, and started building roads. In this process of connecting "road and heart", the young man and the beautiful foreign girl gradually embarked on a warm journey of connecting "heart to heart".
