Where is the Straits of Malacca?
Malacca Strait, also translated as "Malacca Strait", is a strait between Malay Peninsula and Sumatra Island. The Strait of Malacca is southeast-northwest. Its northwest end is connected with the Andaman Sea in the Indian Ocean, and its southeast end is connected with the South China Sea in China. The total length of the Strait is about 1080 km, the widest in the northwest is 370 km and the narrowest in the southeast is only 2.8 km. It is an international waterway connecting the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.
