How did SARS disappear in 2003? How to cure it?
?SARS is coming in a big way
2003 was a sad year but also an exciting year.
This year, an unknown disaster hit Guangdong, China without anyone noticing, and then swept across China, and then the whole world. This year, the whole world has been enveloped in a feeling of panic.
Viruses are very scary, they are very smart, and they are very good at hiding themselves. When they first appear, they often do not immediately attract the attention of the public, and SARS is no exception.
November 16, 2002, was the day when SARS first appeared. It fired its "first shot" at mankind. On this day, a middle-aged man in Guangdong Province felt vaguely uncomfortable. However, there are many kinds of diseases, and the symptoms of some diseases are similar. Therefore, he did not pay attention, thinking that he had a cold, and just bought some medicine. Take.
But I didn’t expect that after taking the medicine, my condition was not relieved, and even became more serious. He decided to be hospitalized. After examination, the doctor found nothing wrong and just treated it as a common illness. But unexpectedly, three or four days after being hospitalized, the middle-aged man developed typical symptoms of dyspnea. What was even more terrifying was that several people who took care of him closely developed similar symptoms within just a few days.
At this time, the doctors realized that the disease was not as simple as they thought, but an unknown disease that had never appeared before. But SARS did not give them time to respond. Soon, this unknown virus spread to many places in Guangdong Province, attracting the attention of people across the country.
On January 22, 2003, Guangdong Province named this unknown disease "atypical pneumonia" for the first time. From this day to February 6, in just a dozen days, the number of sick people in Guangdong Province increased to 218. Since then, SARS has spread faster and faster. In the face of human beings, SARS has become more and more unscrupulous.
On February 10, the national comprehensive evening newspaper "Yangcheng Evening News" published a report related to SARS for the first time. For the first time, people had a relatively comprehensive understanding of this new disease. At this time, relevant national departments had already implemented protective measures. But SARS is obviously not something to be trifled with. In mid-February, SARS spread across the country, with infections reported in many cities, with the highest number of infections in Beijing. On March 26, Xinhua News Agency released a report on SARS in Beijing, making Beijing the hardest hit area by SARS.
However, what is even worse is that many cases have appeared abroad. SARS has obviously swept the world and is out of control. According to statistics, as of August 16, there were as many as 5,327 cases of illness in mainland China.
It only took four months for SARS to go from its initial onset to its uncontrollable outbreak.
Eradicating SARS
How was SARS, which was so terrible and so menacing, eradicated?
The eradication of SARS is the result of people’s united efforts. The virus is certainly scary, but the power of the people is stronger.
In February 2003, relevant national departments took effective protective measures, promptly delayed the opening of colleges and universities in various places and the time for resumption of work, isolated and controlled areas with severe epidemics, and vigorously promoted the wearing of masks to people. The infection rate was greatly reduced, and the World Health Organization was quickly notified to seek international support.
At this time, Guangdong Province has already brought the epidemic under control because of its early measures. But the disease has reached its peak across the country and around the world. In order to curb the SARS epidemic, party members and state workers have always been on the front line of the fight against SARS, playing a pioneering and exemplary role. Apart from them, doctors are the hardest working and most dangerous. They risked being infected, stayed up all night, worked for countless days and nights, researched drugs, used their own flesh and blood to build a high wall to protect the people from SARS, and used their own lives to exchange for the health of the people.
In the fight against SARS, every Chinese people has done their part. All provinces have donated money and materials, and continuously provided material help. This is a powerful support for the victory in the fight against SARS. In addition to the above reasons, there is another very important factor. In the hot summer, ultraviolet rays are strong. Viruses that are afraid of high temperatures are not easy to survive and will be eliminated quickly.
