What is analytic aerial triangulation?

Using photogrammetry analytical method to determine the external orientation elements of all images in the area, that is, analytical aerial triangulation.

In traditional photogrammetry, this is achieved by measuring points, that is, according to the coordinates of image points and the geodetic coordinates of a few control points measured on the image, the geodetic coordinates of unknown points are obtained, so that the number of known points in each model is not less than 4, and then the external orientation elements of the image are calculated by using these known points, so analytic aerial triangulation is also called photogrammetry encryption.

There are many ways to analyze aerial triangulation by computer. According to the adjustment range, it can be divided into single model method, gas belt method and regional network method, and according to the mathematical model, it can be divided into gas belt method, independent model method and light beam method.
