morphological character

(1) Adult: body length 14 ~ 20mm, wing length 40 ~ 50mm, whole body grayish brown; The front wing is leathery, about two-thirds of the base is light brown, and there are about 20 black spots on the wing surface; About one third of the end is dark brown; The hind wing is membranous, bright red at the base, with 7 ~ 8 black spots; The ending is black. White wax powder is attached to the surface of body wings. The head angle is rolled up and short-horned.

(2) Eggs: long, brown, about 3 mm long, arranged in blocks and covered with brown wax powder.

(3) Nymphs: adult-shaped, white at first hatching, black later, with many small white spots, 1 ~ 3 years old with black spots, and red back with black and white spots at 4th year old.
