There are 976 cultural relics protection units at all levels in the county, including 7 at the national level and 7 at the provincial level 10, with more than 4,500 cultural relics in various collections. The most famous cultural sites in Xiangfen County are Ding Cun Site and Taosi Site, which are famous in Sanjin and even the whole country. Fencheng ancient building complex is known as one of the top ten ancient buildings in Shanxi Province. It is recognized by the archaeological community as "the capital of Yao and Shun, formerly China", and it is an important bearing place of human origin, national origin and Sanjin culture.
