Why do Britain and France have two different kinds of photography at the same time?

At the same time, there are two different photography arts in France and Britain, because commercial photography, as a mechanical process, will inevitably lead to mass production and popular culture.

As early as18th century, people discovered the photosensitivity of silver salt, but it was not until 1826 that the French inventor Joseph-Nicephore-Niepce produced the first photographic image, and he also worked with the artist Louis-Jacques-Daguerre.

After discovering the photosensitivity of silver iodide, the latter fixed the image on the copper plate covered with silver iodide with mercury smoke. Finally, Daguerre Silver Plate was photographed at 1838.

At the same time, William Henry Fox Talbot of Britain invented silver iodide paper photography, which is an imaging technology using salt paper, different from silver plate photography which can only produce a single image at a time. Silver iodide photographic paper photography can obtain endless positive photographic paper images from negative films.

These different photography arts have promoted the development of photography industry.
