Travel taboos in Mount Kumgang tourist areas

When entering North Korea, you are not allowed to bring mobile phones, binoculars, laptops, North Korean currency, professional cameras, telephoto lenses of more than 150 mm, newspapers and books (especially Korean newspapers and books).

During travel in North Korea, you must be accompanied by North Korean official tour guides and inspectors throughout the journey. It is prohibited to tour at will, take photos at will, or distribute any items to North Koreans. In North Korea, do not comment on North Korean leaders and North Korean society, do not imitate the postures of North Korean leaders for photos, follow the arrangements of North Korean tour guides, and do not take photos at will, leave the group, or talk to North Koreans.

You are not allowed to take photos while watching the acrobatic performance, but you can take photos when the actors line up for the curtain call at the end of the performance. Also, when photographing the Haegjem Hotel, you can only view it from the front and use it as the background.
